Can I have your thoughts please? I am new to all this jazz and have had 1 or 2 games with 400 / 500 points but looking to have a full on battle of 1500pts. Being new and all that, I just wanted your thoughts on what I have chosen.
I have put at the end the other models I own in case anyone thinks I should change certain choices but please be aware that the list below is my limit. I have spent money I don't really have and so suggestions on buying this that and the other are pointless unless you buy them for me
Also if anyone has any tips on using certain units to maximum effect or tactics that would be greatly appreciated. I will be playing mostly against Chaos Marines and normal Space Marines initially.
So here it is, and as I say I am more than happy to listen to any suggestions of change as long as I have the models.

Meet My Autarch
Quite an interesting army to have assembled. I dunno how you came by soo many swooping hawks. Do you have zero leeway left? with two purchases i could see your army being much better. An autarch (on jetbike or on foot) and a shadowseer. Assuming you have those models:
drop the scorpions. The unit is kinda small and you have a larger unit of nice harlies. Give them a shadowseer to protect them as then run up. Also give several of them kisses (to rend those MEQs.) Your autarch on foot could run with them and get it's viel of tears benefit too.
Break your swooping hawks into two squads of five, or reduce it to five over all. They're a bit expensive and flimsy. Two squads will assure that some are alive longer. Plus, more importantly you could be dropping two grenade packs a turn. Taking the autarch will better assure your hawks chance of arriving via deep strike each turn. They can also skate around the board tossing haywire grenades. Your list really needs anti-tank.
I'd convert the falcon to a wave serpent and give it a EML or bright lance on that note. Plus the DAs will benefit from a transport. If you drop the avataar for the autarch the farseer can ride with them. If you drop the farseer then run the avataar with the harlies (they and the storm gaurdians will now be fearless.) If you make that choice i'd say get the autarch with a jetbike. let him ride with your jetbike squad shooting a underslung reaper launcher. He'll add a bit of CC potency to them as well.
The two fusion guns in the storm gaurdian squad? Do you plan on running at tanks? I see the storm guardians, harlies and avatar using run a lot. they all have fleet of foot (save for the avatar). You could shear some points in dropping those. You'll probably have to drop about a 100 points to make the changes i've mentioned. i'd suggest either one of the gaurdian defenders, or these storm gaurdians. Since you don't have much of a rear line you could drop both defender squads and add to your jetbiker squad. Now you're entirely mobile and quick.
keep everything as it is. Drop avatar for autarch. break swooping hawks into two units. drop warlocks in the defenders, change wraithlord to ranged weapons. Now you are a more sit back shooty type. Drop storm gaurdians, pick up dark reapers. Put autarch with reaper launcher in reaper squad. *this unit will be a priority of the enemies* If u can turn the guardian defender weapon mounts into missle launchers. You'll need more anti-tank to make sure u kill transports. Convert the falcon to a fire prism maybe. but you could leave it the way it is too. I assume the scorpions are riding in it. Remember it can only shoot one weapon if you move 12" So drop those buggers off and coast 6" a turn after to open up with all it's weapons (2 pulse laser shots, 2 starcannon shots, 3 shuricannon shots.) I'd be nice if you could give it a holofield.
So there. hopefully not to much changing of models for ya. I tried to focus on using what you have. The big points i see is that swooping hawks in that number really benefit from the +1 to reseve rolls the autarch brings. They are good against horde infantry yes, but against MEQ lists they still have their usefulness. More as dive bombers then hip-shooting fly boys.
