Farseer- Spirit Stones, DOOM, Fortune, Runes of Warding
6 Fire Dragons- Exarch w/ Tank Hunters
In Waver Serpent w/ Star Engines and Twin-linked Scatter Lasers
10 Dire Avengers- Exarch w/ Two Shuriken Catapults and Bladestorm
10 Guardians- Scatter Laser
5 Rangers- Pathfinders
9 Jetbikes- 3 Shuriken Cannons
6 Warp Spiders- Exarch w/ Additional Death Spinner and Surprise Assault
5 Dark Reapers- Exarch w/ Fast Shot and Eldar Missile Launcher
Wraithlord- Bright Lance
I have tried to make as balanced of a list as possible, combining alot of the strong points of the Eldar. My DA and Spiders will be able to handle mobs, with the Reapers taking out anything heavier armoured. The Pathfinders are there to harass, as the jetbikes are. But in any objective battles those bikes could come in handy. The Wraithlord and Fire Dragons being there of course for tank busting, the FD could also be used for anti-PA. Comments?
I'm not a fan of an exarch with the spiders, but some people like it. IMO the jetbikes are too big (probably by 9 models to be entirely honest). The guardians, if they're working out for you are alright, you might consider adding a warlock with conceal, or you might not. I don't like that you only have one tank in your list. Personally I'd drop the bikes in favor of a banshee and another serpent. Of course you'll have to pull more points for that, maybe the wraithlord.
Everything I have told you, even this, is a lie.
You don't have to take suprise assualt on the spiders exarch its free due to jetpacks in 5th. ed.
AH HA, the fact that I have yet to get a 5th Ed. rulebook may contribute to that...err lack of knowladge. I like the jetbikes, I find they draw much more attention than they should, and can really be a pain in the ass if played right. But I will definatly knock out that Exarch now.
I like the exarch it adds a more survivable unit plus the powerblades can be helpful same as withdraw.
I would drop 1 dragon and the spider exarch/upgrades for more spiders. I would also drop the guardians for some other upgrades and making the Wraithlords BL twin linked or sticking an EML on it.
IMO, the exarch with extra spinner or with WD and power blades isnt worth it. at S3 and being the only piece in the unit with power weapons, youre not going to net many kills from him. Not to mention I wouldnt really want to melee with them as they are only T3. The 2 extra shots from the exarchs dual spinners also isnt really worth the points in my experience. I always run a full 10 man bone stock squad to much success. Jump 12", unleash your 20 S6 shots, then warp backwards out of assault range. I only ever assault if there are only 1-3 enemies left in the squad.
