I used to play a bit of 40k (craftwork eldar and IG) in my youth but that was literally about 15 years ago now
My lad and some of his mates from school got into it recently and now I've got totally sucked back in and love the look of the DE. I've drafted out a little 500pt force to start with but was hoping you badasses on here could give me some pointers:
Haemonculus with destructor, scissorhand and reaver - 80
10 Warriors with 2 DLs - 100
10 Warriors with blaster, SC, raider with torture amp and sybarite with agoniser - 186
4 Reavers including succubus with agoniser and grusome talisman - 144
All input welcome guys
Now that reavers can carry 2 handed weapons, and reavers have S4 base, the punisher/tormentor helm seems to be more popular for the reaver succubus. S5 power weapon is better when you're fighting MEQ Armies(3+ armor save armies).
I really like horrorfexes on raiders myself, being able to pin down a unit when the dark lance as no vehicles to shoot at is a nice perk.
Other than those personal preferences, the list looks really good for 500 pts.
Thanks for the reply dude, much appreciated.
I think I tallied my points slightly wrong the first time, so basically my list will now be the same but either with the reaver succubus with a punisher + tormentor helm combo you mention and no upgrade on the raider, or leave him with the agoniser and give the raider a horrorfex (like the tip on that one) or disintegrator.
Thanks again. Looking forward to getting these guys on the table now!
Giving your succubus and sybrite plasma would be a very good step as it allows you to charge into cover without penalty (at least with your main guy).
tank shock, I don't think is that good. Especially not with the paper thin armour of a raider. Remove it and add the grenades or the horrorfex.
Horrorfexes (and tank shock) are only good against non-fearless opponents. So they might be a bit hit or miss. Still not a bad unit.
Also Gruesome talismans as of 5th do nothing. So points given to them are wasted.
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
Thanks, I'll take that on board. I'd decided to ditch the torture amp anyway. I'll definitely add the plasma grenades, sounds like good thinking
