Hi, i hope i'm in the right section, i didnt know whether i should go to the main eldar forum or this one.
on to my problem. i've got 150 points for my fast attack. i was thinking of getting 2 vypers with EML and a shuricannon so i could maximise my move and kill infantry of just go for a tank. but i'm torn between that and all the other choices(and stupid me just decided to re read the shining spears section and now i want some of them too)
so could anyone shed some light on what would be the best FA option for me
my army contains eldrad+warlock guard, avatar, lots of guardians, 2 fire prisms and a wraithlord.
Thanks for the help!
its really up to you. Though honestly, I use shining spears, vypers and grav tanks alot. If you just want something to be speedy and shoot at enemies go for the vypers. If you want something to carry guys to an objective, and do a bit of shooting along the way, go for a wave serpant or falcon. However, unless you attach a jetbike mounted autarch to that shining spear squadron I wouldnt bother. Especially dont bother with shining spears if ur versing horde armies. If ur versing marines especially terminator heavy marines, then shining spears are great, just make sure you keep em safe from shooting, and use that withdraw after turn one of combat (they only get the strength bonus for the first turn, then its back to strength 3 ='(, eldar can be frustrating sometimes)... But yeah, SSs are good, but only if u use them in their role, and play smart. Their role being HQ/Elite infantry killers mostly, plus light vehicles.

I'm going to agree, Shining Spears are really good, but they're also highly specialized. Sending them in against the wrong opponent would crush them.
Vypers, however, are more flexable. Missile Launchers make this even more so, as they can kill tanks and troops alike, plus the bonus of having 48" range and being able to move and shoot. I wouldn't recommend the shuriken cannons though, as I would hope your vypers never end up that close to the enemy. Instead, use the points on spirit stones. Fast vehicles are vulnerable when they stop, to keep them alive, you've got to keep them moving.
