okay so im new to this game and I decided on this as my first army id like to make it as good as possible so as much constructive criticism as possible is encouraged. Obv i still dont know what im doing lol.
4 units of 30 ork boys each taking a nob with a power klaw and 3 big shootas
1 more units of 30 ork boys taking Nob with power klaw
1 units of 10 nobs 4 with power klaws taking a painboy with a waaagh banner and ghazgkull thraka attached in a trukk
9 warbikers with a nob with a power klaw for cover saves
thats exactly 2k
i dont know if this is good or not so please help
oh im going with all shootas on my boys too
could you make it a bit clearer like the other posts? so each unit seperated and de unit cost
if you drop some big shoota's and you buy for all boy mobz and the warbiker mob a bosspole so you can re-roll failed morale checks, for 5 points you could save 1 to 3 bikers or 1 to 9 ork boyz.
maybe you could buy some real tank killing for now you have 11 power klaws but if you you drop (for example) a boyz mob, you have some points for: tankbustas, deffkopta's with rokkit lauchas, lootaz for light vehicles(not for land raiders or monoliths) or maybe some zapp gunz(not a big fan of that)
why did you choose for warbikers in a mob of 9 cauze that is a fery good decission
Thanks alot for the help ill update the list with the suggestions. I took 9 bikes because i set up some of the black reach orks and saw how many bikes i would need to get cover saves for all my boyz. Do you think I should just replace the bikes with coptas though thats l;ike killing 2 birds with one stone lol.
maybe just 4 bikes and replace them with 2 one-man-units of deffkoptas
Wow that is a huge army. A scary prospect for many but not for a veteran player.
I'd say drop a unit and take a Big Mek with KFF, since you have many units of boys people using large blast weapons are spoilt for choice. (even if the blast scatters the full distance, its still likely to hit something due to the large amount of boys)
Take a few units of slugga boys they really are alot better than shoota boys. Have a mix of both, and only take the big shootas in the shoota boy mobs.
A lack of anti-tank would mean that you will struggle against armies with a fair few tanks.
thats a lot of boyz!Gilbertus is right, this is the main problem with the army. I mean generally no shooty army will be able to take down all your boyz before you get too CC, but you can't make sure that your Nobs don't die before then. The bikes will be good, but you still need to up the anti-tank, esp if your fighting land raiders.A lack of anti-tank would mean that you will struggle against armies with a fair few tanks.
The best thing for a footslogging ork army is to have some big scary things (other than boyz squads) for the enemy to waste all its fire on. Upgrade the trukk for the nobs to a battlewagon- it'll draw fire, and probably survive. (give it armour plates, grot riggers, and maybe a zapp gun)- this'll also up your AT.
Some grot zapp guns or kannons are a cheap way to increase your AT- and no one ever shoots at them! They look pretty weak and useless- but they can contest obj and are better than you'd expect. (make sure they have a runtherder, and as many extra crew and ammo runts as you can afford).
A deff dred or some killer khans would also protect your boyz and make good AT, esp with the new Squadron rules.
Also...NO NO NO on the all shoota boyz. Please don't do this. Divide your squads so you have about 2/3 slugga and choppa, and a 1/3 shoota boyz. Use the shoota boys to hold obj, and the slugga boyz to charge. Your going to want that +1 attack in CC, and orks generally don't hit anything shooting most of the time.

LOrd Ray is correct in most of that except grot artillery can't hold objectives, since they are a heavy support choice, normal grots can but I never use them as they are crap, and the enemy may use sneaky tricks (deepsticking, ambush,infiltrate or just be bloody fast), to get at my objective. Personally if that happened I'd rather a big mob of boys were there than just a puny unit of gretchin..
But hey, thats what the shoota boys are for. If you do plan on taking a battlewagon, (not with a kill-kannon though), take a deff rolla, as it is THE BEST ANTI-TANK WEAPON FOR THE ORKS!!!! If you ram a tank with it, it causes d6 S10 hits on the tank, not to mention the actual ramming attack itself.
