Alright this army is for probably spear heading right down the middle, Hive tyrant leading with guard giving gaunts a cover save and gaunts protecting the stealer's, also have a Carnifex with a twin linked venom cannon for nasty tanks and warriors for those extra devourer shots, Zoanthropes for a warp blast and hopefully to be used as fodder and while this is happening the Broodlord and stealer retinue coming in using infiltration if allowed, I'm hoping to cause a lot of threat at once making the enemy worry.
any help 'nid players new and old can give me would be appreciated also anytihng i should remove or add would help alot as well.

Welcome to the forum! I can't comment on the list itself because I haven't played since 5th edition came out, but I CAN tell you that individual point costs for upgrades or biomorphs are not allowed in forum posts, only the cost of the total unit. So, you really need to remove those from the post quick-like before you get smacked with the mod-stick. Also, army lists should be posted in the Army List sub-section of this forum.

for some reason, those 6 warriors for 258 points look kinda expensive!
I'd try to make them cheaper, give them deathspitters (or devourers) with +BS and perhaps +ST if you want.. do this ad you get :
6 x S5 small blast Twin linked at BS3 for 192 points
24 shots at S3 with reroll to hit and reroll to wound (at BS3) for 156 points
*you could go for S4 shots for 210 pts.. kinda too expensive for just +1 strength which is rerollable anyway..
the 6 warriors are quite nice you have there, but for those 258 points you can get 40 shots wit the devourer ( Taking 10 warriors comes to 260 points).. 40 shots with reroll to hit and to wound is wicked

Warriors +Deathspitter +Scything Talons +Toxin Sacs: 31 points a piece.
These guys are brutal, they will simply destroy a unit every time they shoot. Twin-linking the Deathspitter is wholly unnecessary, it's a large point dump to try and change the scatter roll, and the Bs upgrade will only serve to reduce scatter by 1. Deathspitter Warriors are 4 points cheaper and more effective than Warriors with TL Devourer, Enhanced Senses, Toxin Sacs.

well.. maybe you can go two-ways about them,
but to be honest.. i wouldnt like to shoot with BS 2 .. hitting on a 5+ means that out of 6 warriors, only 2 will hit.. with twinlinking you hit 3.33333 (but better is to have the cheap +BS upgrade to hit with 3.00
doh!!!!!!! totaly forgot that you dont use BS when firing blast weapons.. pfft doh dumb me

Does a venom cannon take up 1 weapon slot? If one were to take two vc than wouldn't that fill up the 2 weapon slot or does 2 vc occupy 1 weapon slot. Secondly, If one were to equip a hive tyrant with 2 VC does it count as twinlinked or do I get 6 vc shots.

Army builder doesnt let me select 2 VC's, though a VC and a BS is possible..
kinda weird, considering that you can have multiple devourers etc on the tyrant, and 2 different "heavy" weapons..
THere is only 1 thing in the codex that shows us what it is.. page 30, "ranged weapon-symbiotes".. it states that a tyranid carriing the same weapon twice will count it as twinlinked...
so you can NOT have 2x a VC, it will become a twinlinked VC.. still kinda weird since you can have a VC + BS... oh well.. flaw in their evolution i guess
oh btw... putting toxin sacs + 2x VC gives you 6x 8 shot (which could be fired at BS4), you will pay about 167 points (or 177 with +1 bs) is pretty awesome! get 2 silly guards and you'd have a sweet fireplatform,
if you are looking for such a thing.. you can take a fex with the BS.. you get a LARGE BLAST with S8.. has the potentional to nuke down a whole SM squad full of assaulty marines and such
Seems to me that this list has a couple of vulnerability's. The first being that any tank heavy force will have an advantage Vs this list. Whilst the warp blasts and barbed stranglers can defeat tanks they arn't dead certs. should a list with multiple vindicators or defilers or any other large blast weapon tank, come up against you they will blast the stealers, the broodlord will bury something before getting trashed, and youll have too little left to win the game. the second is that you dont seem to have any objective staying power. For example lets say its a cap and controll mission. You would have to leave at least 160 points behind to objective sit. Then youve got 3 poorly armoured troops which have to survive with almost every weapon ignoring their saves. I like to feild 40 spine guants, these are numerous enough to ensure survival on an objective and only cost 200 points. In this way you get 32 extra wounds that wont really be doing anything else for only 40 extra points, asuming you remove the stealers.
My suggestions would be to take the 40 spineguants, get some flesh guants as they are actually quite good, spcialise your tyrant and or fex to 1 disciplin, either CC or ranged and scrap the zoans. Hope this helps.
the poster above is quite right tbh...so just a quick analysis
when we split it up:
- tyrant is walker, with 1 S8 shot, not that big of a thread, can be ignored for 2 turns
- the twinlinked VC carni (walker) is quite nice but not that threatening with the glancing hits.. can be ignored the first few turns (or easily be dealt with by denying LOS..
- zoans are good, but walkers, so could be a bit outmanouvered
so this means that the opponent has not a lot of pressure the first 2 turns, and therefor being able to deal with most genestealers (24 troops and 8 in HQ)..
Eventhough the spinegautns are good for objective capping, they are also sweet for protecting your genestealers (giving them LOS (dont think they block LOS, do they?))
THe plus side on this army is, even if the enemy kills his genestealers in the first 2 turns, he will still have the warriors, tyrant, zoans and carnifex + 24 hormogaunts to combat with.. all but the warriors and hormos are capable of killing tanks...
downside is that the enemy can outmanouver you *eldar and tau Mech for example)...
If you really love the broodlord, take it.. its fun, can make the enemy nervous.. but imo, i'd say... get a flying tyrant to put mobile pressure on his (fast) units, and for the rest of the points get spinegaunts....
cut a few poitns from the tyrant.. if you want it CC then you could think of running instead of shooting.. Imho, i;d make it a shooty one.. give the a gun instead of ST and get rid of some upgrades,
about your warriors.. shooting 2x a S7 attack at BS 3 isnt that great, but cost lots of points.. imo get rid of the +BS upgrade and the VC and devourers, and take deathspitters + 1 BS.. they all dont use the BS, they hit automaticly.. dont need any upgrade at all.. saves another 60 points or so!
