Welcome to Librarium Online!
This army got me tied for third in a small tournament, i was just wondering a good way to expand it to about 2k or something.
-PK, Bike, Skorcha, Cybork, Squig
-Mega armour, cybork, squig, boss pole
7 Biker Nobz-450
-Cybork, Boss Pole, Painboy, Waaagh banner, and 2 power Klaws
5 Mega Nobz-240
-Trukk w/ Red Paint
14 models and 5 kill points
I didnt expect to do good but just the opposite happened. To expand the Army I want to use more Nob units such are more mega nobz, biker nobz, standard Nobz, and at least one unit of Flash Gitz.
Personally, I'd think that in a bigger battle you'd definatly NEED some boyz. As they are troops, 40k has changed to rely more on troops (hold objectives etc)... If you try an all Nob army, you will be limited to just two units of troops. This is ok for small battles (1000pts) but in bigger ones you will be hurting, as you'd still have only 2 units of troops. A smart player would realise this and throw their entire army at those 2 units (that is if you need to hold objectives)
i agree with having boyz at higher point games, and thats what i usally do, but i was gettin kinda bored of it.
But about having 2 squads of biker nobz as troops could easily last until turn 6 provided there isnt a large amount of S8 and higher, and AP 2 and lower weapons thrown at them even then they can still last long enough to get into combat.
im not sure, i guess i have some testing to do
Yeah I have two looted wagons with Boom guns.....lol.. squishy squishy...
There is a way to get more troops.... Have you heard of multiple detachments??
I'm not sure I've heard of multiple detachments, I'm not sure if you're asking me or you don't know.
Lol I do know just wondering if you did..
Last Ed they allowed people to take multiple detachements, what this means is that a player could take multiple force organisation charts. This could only happen if the MINIMUM requirements were met... 1HQ and 2 Troops, for each detachment.
Using this you could take 4 warbosses and therefore 4 units of nobs as troops...
I am not sure if they still allow this or not so you may have to check...
