I'm really new to the game just started about a month and a half ago and chose Eldar, it being my favorite race in DoW. Not realizing it would be one of the more complicated races to start with and not yet laying enough games i ended up getting models based on looks and the little knowledge i had from the rule book and codex with not much playing experience. My group of friends had already been playing for awhile before me and did more research into their own races prior to building much of their forces. So I'm just going to post what i have right now model wise. I'm looking for something pretty well rounded to start with seeing as I'm only going to be playing with friends mainly for the time being. I'm going to be facing IG Ork Chaos SM and Tau if that helps any lol.
Farseer and 3 Warlocks
6 Fire Dragons
1 EML Platform
1 SL Platform
Exarch with PW and SS
5 Warp Spiders with Exarch
6 Swooping Hawks with Exarch
1 Fire Prism
1 Falcon with SL
5 Dark Reapers with Exarch
1 War Walker with SL and BL
Wave Serpent with EMLs and a SC (though I'm thinking the SC was a mistake)
Tips and a good build for me to aim for would be greatly appreciated!!!
Would really be helpful if someone could suggest a list that i could build toward...
Im new too but based on what you have, here's what I would run based on what you have
Farseer with Fortune, Guide, Spirit Stones, and Runes of Witnessing (stick him/her in with the reapers)
6 Fire Dragons with and Exarch and Tankhunters (put these guys in the Falcon)
10 man guardian squad with scatter laser, and warlock with conceal
10 man guardian squad with eml and warlock with conceal
^(just have these guys sit on objectives)
10 man Dire Avenger squad (I'm curious how you only have 5 since 10 come in the box) with exarch with power weapon and shimmershield with bladestorm and defend
Wave Serpent with twin linked brightlance and spirit stones
6 Swooping Hawks with Exarch with Hawk's talon and skyleap
5 Dark Reapers with exarch with tempest launcher, crack shot, and fast shot
Falcon with Shuriken Cannon, holo-fields, and spirit stones
3 War Walkers with scatter lasers
I'd definitely add something for close combat like Striking Scorpions, Banshees, or Shining Spears. If you add a 10 man squad of scorpions with an exarch with scorpions claw shadowstrike, and stalker, the whole army comes out to 1791 points, so you could add some extra hawks or guardians if you felt the need too.

lol Thanks for the army list help.Only reason i have 5 DA is cause i got the Battleforce. I'm thinking ill get a second one for another 5 DA and the second War Walker and Wave Serpent would be nice too. Plus more Guardians to just have around wouldn't be bad. I was thinking about getting Storm Guardians possibly and diff HQ choice, any thoughts on if Storm Guardians would be worth while and what HQ i might want to look into? I know he's point heavy but i really like Fuegan and Avatar looks good as well. I'll have $60 extra to drop this weekend and I'm really leaning toward Banshees but comparatively to Scorpions i can see they have power weapons but not as good of a save. Any tips on what works better?

Main reason I'm leaning toward the banshees is the chaos army I'm facing has a ton of Khorne Berserkers and those power weapons would really come in handy not to mention my friend is using Abbadon. Avatar would be nice against the IG player cause he tends to try and focus fire my harder hitters with his 2 Russ, Basilisk, and weapon teams so my thought is i might as well give him something to waist his fire on while i can get my Dragons and other anti armor into place to wreck those annoying battle tanks.
