Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've had a chance to play a couple games now... though unfortunately both were cut short by people having to leave early. x_x
But from what I've seen my last list was a bit lacking as far as tank killing effectiveness. My carnifexes just didn't seem to cut it against vehicles so I've decided to throw in some Zoanthropes to help out. Tell me what you think of this list:
Dakka Flyrant (ES, TS, TL-D, WF) 196
Broodlord (ES, TS, FT) & 7 retinue (EC) 233
16 spinegaunts 80
16 hormagaunts 160
9 genestealers (EC, FT) 189
2 Warriors (ES, EC, TS, DS, ST) & 1 Heavy Weapon Warrior (ES, EC, TS, VC, ST) 118
Sniperfex (ES, VC, BS, RC) 163
Sniperfex (ES, VC, BS, RC) 163
3 Zoanthropes (WB, Synapse) 195
Tactics: Mainly have my force divided in two, with (going from back to front) two carnifexes on either side of the table edge, on one side two zoanthropes behind my gaunts, with broodlord infiltrated ahead of them. On the other side I'd have the warrior squad and the third zoanthrope behind my genestealers, which would be behind my hormagaunts, with my Hive Tyrant a little off to the side to be able to move between my two groups of forces. Mainly I'd try to push everything forward (including fexes, to some degree) in order to make it harder for my opponent to decide on what to shoot. Also, the last few games I've had my fexes just camping behind cover, where they never got shot at once, so I kind of want them out in the open a little more to bait people into firing at them.
I have heard a lot of negative things about taking warp field on the Hive Tyrant, but from another forum I looked at they made a good point that more than likely a threatening HT will receive fire from a lot of an opponent's guns, not just their low AP ones (which I don't imagine any army would have a whole lot of... right?) so I figure the cost is justified to keep him alive just a little longer.
One idea I've been toying with, though, is to take synapse off of the zoies and putting on psychic scream, and having that on the HT as well, though I'm not sure if i want to give up the synapse or not or if I've got that covered already with my other units.

Zoanathropes are good in theory in theory, but not much in practice (at least for me). For killing tanks, they only have .5 chance of hitting, then roll well on table, and with 1 shot apiece at 18 in for over 60 points, they usually do not kill their worth. However, I still always take 3 just in case they do something good, and people are usually afraid of them, so they draw a lot of fire (nice, b/c their save basically makes them impenetrable to most weapons). In the past 4 or 5 games I have played, my zoans have never killed a tank (though they have imobilized quite a few, for some reason). I've found that the only way I can really kill tanks is to get them into assault with an MC. For this reason, I recommend moving the snipers up with your army, hidden behind your warriors (who are behind the gaunts, presumably) for the cover save. Try to keep them out of combat, but be willing to charge them at tanks if their guns don't do the job. In 5th, snipers are great at stunning vehicles, but thei guns can rarely destroy vehicles.
I love Zoans. They're great! Their shooting is either anti-tank or anti-marine. Either ways you can't lose. Plus they draw a large amount of fire, esp. once their warp blast lands. Get 1 w/Synapse and 2 with Psychic Scream and put the ones w/PS within range of your BL+ret. You'd still have 4 synapse creatures (Flyrant, BL, TW's + 1 Zoan). Keep WF for your flyrant. Trust me, he's the one who's gonna do the most damage so you want him to last as long as possible. Overall a very good list. The only thing is the troops are a little on the low side. You might want to consider Without Numbers for your spinegaunts.
What would you suggest I ditch in favor of WoN?
Warp blast zoans, as noted above, are the epitome of 'looks good on paper'.
If you do run them I would say ignore the tanks and use the AP 3 blast. Marine players never seem to see it coming.
For a negative, they are 1 KP a piece which is not fun.
I have recently swapped out my zoans for warriors. You can get 6 stripped down deathspitter warriors for 3 WB/Syn zoans.
The warriors have been generally better and only give up 1 KP at max.
I would also think about making up a psychic scream list instead of using warp blast....
