    species: hive tyrand
    species name: death lord
bio weapon: lash whip+bonsword, twinlinked devouwerer,
biomorphs: Adrenalin Gland(ws), Toxic miasa, toxin sacs, Enhanced carapes,
retenu: +2x tyrenid gards, lash whips/inplant atack
    cost: 271

    Add enhanced senses.

Drop the Lash Whip and Bone Sword for another set of Twin-Linked Devourers. Also drop the Adrenal Gland, Toxic Miasma, and Possibly Extended Carapace. I would also drop the Implant attack from your guards. You will want to keep this out of combat in most situations so it can shoot.

    My suggested set-up is

    Hive Tyrant
    2x sets of Twin-Linked Devourers
    Enhanced Senses, Toxin Sacs
    2x Tyrant Guards

    211pts

    species:gount
    species name: legion
    bio weapon: fleshborer
    biomorphs: without number
    total cost: 9 (2x8 legion=144)

Increase the numbers here and add another squad if possible.

    species: hive tyrant
    species name: winged death wraith
bio weapons: rending claws, scyting tallons
biomorphs: wings, adrenalin glands(WS), toxin sacs
    total cost 143

Drop the rending claws for Scything Talons and drop the adrenal gland. Since this is already a Monstrous Creature its attacks will deny armor saves.

    species : carnifex
    Species name: death jugernote
    Bioweapons: Scything Tallons, Crushing Claws
Biomorphs: Acid Maw, Adrinal Glands (WS& I), Bonded Exoskeleton, Extended Carapace, Flesh Hooks, Implant Attack, Regenerate, Reinforced Chittin, Mace Tail,
    Toxin Sacs, Toxic Miasma, Tusked.
    Total Cost: 252

You will most likely be wounding on +2's so Remove Acid Maw. I can foresee Implant attack being useful depending on your opponents. If you know you will be encountering a lot of Greater Daemons, Daemon Princes, Wraithlords, and other Monstrous Creatures

    Species: Carnifex
    Species name: soul reaper
Bioweapons: Venom Cannon and Barbed Strangler
    Biomorphs: enhanced Senses, Extended Carapace,
    Total Cost: 173 (x2)346

Carapace is not really necessary here. I might remove it to add to your troop totals.

    species:carnifex
    Species name: steal reaper juggernote
    Bioweapons: 2x scyting tallons
Biomorphs: adrenalin glands(WS), toxic miasa, flesh hooks
    Total Cost: 114 x3 = 342

I'm not sure if you play with a lot of vertically impassible terrain otherwise I would drop the flesh hooks.

thx on the idee's in advance
    PS: srry fore my dislectia

So with the changes made your list is at 1497 and with all the monstrous creatures, should put up a fight in 1500pt games.

Here is what your list will look like with the changes I suggested.

    HQ

    Hive Tyrant
    2x sets of Twin-Linked Devourers
    Enhanced Senses, Toxin Sacs
    2x Tyrant Guards

    211pts

    Winged Hive Tyrant
    2x Scything Talons
    Toxin Sacs, Winged

    143pts

    Elites

    Carnifex 1x3
    2x Scything Talons
    Adrenal Glands, Toxic Miasma

    339pts

    Troops

    Gaunts 2x8
    Fleshborers
    Without Number

    144pts

    Heavy Support

    Uber Carnifex
    Crushing Claw, Scything Talons
Adrenal Glands (WS/I), Toxin Sacs, Tusked, Reinforced Chitin, Bonded Exoskeleton,
Extended Carapace, Flesh hooks, Implant Attack, Regenerate, Toxic Miasma, Mace Tail.

    256pts

    Sniper Carnifex 1x2
    Barbed Strangler, Venom Cannon
    Enhanced Senses

    296pts

    1368pts

So what I gave you is a skeleton where you can build onto the survivability of your Monstrous creatures with defensive upgrades or spend your left over points on troops. I hope this gives you some ideas on where to go next!

If you need anymore help or advice on your nids don't be afraid to ask!

    Hi,
The basic skelton is good but is painfully low on synapse. When using a list like this I would give the Tyrant with Guard longer range weaponry instead. A Venom Cannon, Twin Linked Death Spitter (I've found this very useful as it's very likely to hit and has S7) or a Barbed Strangler.

I use VC and Twin DS a lot. If you do this you can keep this tyrant away from danger as he'll be a less threatening target and you can move him where you need synapse.

If you want him in the thick of it you'll need to get rid of a fex and get some warriors (I find a brood of 5 armed with Death Spitters, S Talons, and toxin sacs is great) If you don't get more synapse and more troops you'll be too weak in objective missions.

The other problem is that even with "without number" your two little units of 8 will never be able to capture objectives.

With the advent of 5th, it seems to me that even if your running a 'zilla list, you still need to put an emphasis on troops.

I would take the skeleton list and drop the fex with crushing claws and one of the elite fexes and use the points on troops and maybe some Zoans with synapse That way you still have 6 MC's which is still a significant amount in 1.5k

3 words for you: troops, troops, troops! In 5th edition, it's all about the troops. They are the only scoring units. With your current list, you're playing to tie 2/3 of the time (unless if you get annihilation, which is only 1/3 of the time). Without more troops you can't hold any objectives. That said, let's go through your list.

You should make the walker CC and the flyer a shooter. This way you can run your tyrant+guard. My recommendation: Tyrant (2xtalons, AG (I/WS), TM, TS, EC, FH (151). Keep your guards bare except for maybe fleshhooks (92 for 2). Chances are they're die before reaching combat. If you want to make your tyrant a character killer, then Implant Attack works well but is a little pricey.

    species:gount
    species name: legion
    bio weapon: fleshborer
    biomorphs: without number
    total cost: 9 (2x8 legion=144)
If you can, get 4-6 units of these. With WON, I like smaller squads cuz they die & respawn quicker. The more you have of them, the harder for the enemy to take them out as well as protect all the objectives.

    species: hive tyrant
    species name: winged death wraith
bio weapons: rending claws, scyting tallons
biomorphs: wings, adrenalin glands(WS), toxin sacs
    total cost 143
The most dangerous tyrant is a dakka flyrant w/wings, 2x TLD, ES, TS, Warp Field (196). Avoid getting him into combat and just keep on shooting. 12 shots w/re-rolls to hit and wound is just devastating!

    species : carnifex
    Species name: death jugernote
    Bioweapons: Scything Tallons, Crushing Claws
Biomorphs: Acid Maw, Adrinal Glands (WS& I), Bonded Exoskeleton, Extended Carapace, Flesh Hooks, Implant Attack, Regenerate, Reinforced Chittin, Mace Tail,
    Toxin Sacs, Toxic Miasma, Tusked.
    Total Cost: 252
Drop Acid Maw (he wounds on 2+), Implant Attack (most his wounds are Instant Death anyways), & Regenerate (1/6 chance to gain back a wound? I don't think it's worth it for 30)
    Species: Carnifex
    Species name: soul reaper
Bioweapons: Venom Cannon and Barbed Strangler
    Biomorphs: enhanced Senses, Extended Carapace,
    Total Cost: 173 (x2)346
I believe all carnie's need Reinforced Chitin (exchange for EC). Take only 1 though and use the rest to get Zoanthropes. VC now in 5th cannot destroy any tanks (unless they're open-topped). With 3 Zoans, however, you can potentially target and destroy 3 tanks as well as provide synapse for your troops.
    species:carnifex
    Species name: steal reaper juggernote
    Bioweapons: 2x scyting tallons
Biomorphs: adrenalin glands(WS), toxic miasa, flesh hooks
    Total Cost: 114 x3 = 342

thx on the idee's in advance
    PS: srry fore my dislectia
You need more Synapse for your troops. Either Tyranid Warriors or Zoans. In this case I like Zoans cuz they're cheaper, harder to kill, and can go anti-tank.
