ps the plan is to assault his flank with the banshees to stall his infantry whilst my wraithguard go after his monolith with the fireprism, Dire avengers to run down middle with wraithlord and farseer whilst his army is held up with the 2 waveserpents and fireprism

oh and Rangers to pick off his destroyers and heavy destroyers with their 2+ cover saves in cover
This belongs in the army list section
Spambot kill tally. . .337
I like the howling banshees, especially nice if you are fighting crons, but you should put a farseer with doom in the serpent with them since banshees are S3 and crons are usually T4 if not T5 with some units, doom will make pretty certain that the necron squad dies. if you need more points you could probably take off runes of witnessing. Be careful though of the monoliths flux arc, that flux arc is pretty nasty against most eldar units. Good call on the wraithguard, fire dragons wouldn't be nearly as effective at taking on the monolith, otherwise id probably take fire dragons. It would also be nice to stick in another fire prism somehow so you can twin the prism shots for a high strength ap 3 shot, good for fighting necrons. Also, i think the warlock on the wraithguard squad has to be upgraded to a spirit seer in order to ignore wraith sight, might wanna check. You probably won't need the power sword/ SS unless he runs a lotta close combat cron units, if he get locked in close combat he'll probably teleport out of CC through the monolith, and the shimmershields effect only works in close combat, so just give them dual shuricats and bladestorm both. If he's using normal destroyers, you avengers on foot will go down pretty quickly if they arent behind cover, so be careful on that. Otherwise i like the concept if you're gonna be fighting necrons. Good luck to ya.
Cheers dude, the help is much appreciated, we tend to use quite a bit of terrain in our games so my avengers should have no probs with gettin cover, he doesnt use any close combat units, tends to be 3 destroyers, 1 heavy destroyer, monolith, scarab swarm (classed as close combat i guess), lord on destroyer and fills the rest with warriors, i love the farseer with doom with howling banshees idea, will change my list to go with that, only reason i put him with avengers is for wraithsight on wraithlord, again thanks for the help

oh and the spiritseer upgrade i think upgrades the normal 6" from friendly psyker to 12", another fireprism will be in the line as soon as get sum more cash
Good point on the wraithlord, i forgot about wraithsight for him. I usually make sure there is something that can make him auto pass wraithsight just because i have awful luck when i roll that, but if you're not too concerned about it, it's not too big a deal. I guess if there are numerous amounts of scarabs defend might not be too bad, i dont think you need the powersword, but those scarabs can give out quite a bit of attacks. I guess it's really your call on that.
