I’ve being thing of doing a small elite army recently something that didn’t require an army case and was looking at Deathwing, then the idea came up for something much tougher and faster, a Nob biker army. I did consider this army a few years back but was unsure on how it would preform... Until today when I went to visit the GT finals and watched such an army make it to the top 3m so my interest in such an army has been revived.
135 – Warboss Drakashak: Power Klaw, Warbike and Cyborg Body.
135 – Warboss Gobfang: Power Klaw, Warbike and Cyborg Body.
575 - Drakashak’s Nob Bikerz: 2 Power Klawz, 2 Big Choppas, Kustom Rokkit, Kustom Skotcha, Boss Pole and 1 Painboy all have cybork bodies (except the Painboy), stikkbombs and a Waaagh Banner.
40 - Drakashak’s Grotz: 10 Grot with Runt Herder.
575 - Gobfang’s Nob Bikerz: 2 Power Klawz, 2 Big Choppas, Kustom Rokkit, Kustom Skotcha, Boss Pole and 1 Painboy all have cybork bodies (except the Painboy), stikkbombs and a Waaagh Banner.
40 - Gobfang’s Grotz: 10 Grot with Runt Herder.
Total Pts: 1500
Total No: 44
Total Kill Pts: 6
It’s a simple setup. Deathwing can easily be brought down by numbers but these guys have so much to offer: 4 different types of saving rolls, toughness 5, 2 wounds, scoring unit, WS 5, speed and shooting range.
But I ain’t stupid I do realize that there are armies out there that will tear it apart and in multiple objective missions they’re screwed which why I decided to throw 2 small grot squads in there to sit on objectives near my deployment and hide with it for the whole game why my bikers pay a visit to the ones on my opponents side of the board.
I believe it would be a fun and unique army to play and I’ve got an idea to convert the bikers like armored knights and using the goblins from Warhammer fantasy and paint each half of the army a different color, black knights on one side white on the other like rivals with tallies on their banners.
What do you think it would be like to play?
Feel free to suggest on how to improve the list but without improving the model count.
Those biker nobz really need some support, or they're going to be shot to pieces by armies like Tau, the Imperial Guard, and Lascannon heavy Marines.
I'd drop the big choppas, the combi-rokkits (these are rubbish), and they don't need stikkbombz, because they're never slowed down by difficult terrain. It's just potentially lethal. You can also drop one nob from each unit, getting you 144 points total.
With those points, I'd add 6 grotts to each unit, to give them more of a fighting chance, and I'd also add either 3 Rokkit buggies to distract your opponent with. If you don't have buggies, than even 2 basic looted wagons with kannons will work, or 2 units of big guns. One way or the other, you need to give your opponent something else to shoot at besides the nob bikers.

Well I've made a few changes to the list keeping it at 750pts as it will be doubled to make the full 1500pt army. This is for fluff and modeling reasons as a I mentioned in the first post.
135 – Warboss: Power Klaw, Warbike and Cyborg Body.
513 - 8 Nob Bikerz: 2 Power Klawz, 1 Big Choppa, 1 Kustom-Skotcha, Boss Pole, Waaagh Banner, 2 Choppas and Painboy all have cybork bodies and stikkbombs.
Although I've kept the stikkbombs because I don't want to be hit first when charging into cover before I can dish out punishment. Anyway this has left me 103pts to spend on a support unit, I'm thinking 20 grots to sit on an objective and an attack squig for the warboss, though I'm open for suggestions?
I like Grax's suggestion of fielding two units of Big Gunz. They're highly effective!
Big Gunz ( 60 Points )
They have BS 3, and can lay out template fire to thin the hordes, or fire of Str 8 single shots for anti armour.
I've recently become a fan of this thing called Dubstep. And you should too.

Da Moo Kowz is da drinkinest Orks of dem all!
I would try to fit 2 small units of truks boys in for grabbing objectives and giving your oppenent something else to worry about.
