    tau 1750 pts mechanized list

after a lot of tinkering with lists, I've finally found a list which has everything I want (i.e. minimum metal models ... partly; I wanted lots of battlesuits, the skyray, some kroot,...), and still performs well on the battlefield.
Comments and advice are welcome .

    HQ:
    Commander Shas'el
    cyclic ion blaster
    burst cannon
    hard-wired multi-tracker
    targetting array

    elite:
    3 XV8 battlesuits
team leader w/ bonding knife, burst cannon, missile pod, hard-wired multi-tracker, targetting array
    XV8 w/ burst cannon, missile pod, multi-tracker
    XV8 w/ burst cannon, missile pod, multi-tracker

    3 XV8 battlesuits
team leader w/ bonding knife, twin-linked missile pod, flamer
    XV8 w/ twin-linked missile pod, flamer
    XV8 w/ twin-linked missile pod, flamer

    3 XV25 stealthsuits
team leader w/ burst cannon, bonding knife, hard-wired drone controller, markerlight
    XV25 w/ burst cannon
    XV25 w/ fusion blaster
    2 marker drones

    elite total = 493

    troops:
    9 fire warriors
    shas'ui w/ bonding knife
    devilfish w/ disruption pod

    9 fire warriors
    shas'ui w/ bonding knife

    10 kroot

    10 kroot

    troops total = 520

    fast attack:
    piranha light skimmer team
2x fusion blaster, disruption pod, targetting array

    heavy support:
    hammerhead
    railgun
    burst cannons
    disruption pod
    multi-tracker

    hammerhead

    burst cannons
    disruption pod
    multi-tracker

    skyray

Good list overall, but i have one or two small (i promise! ) hints.

Firstly, drop the SMS on the Sky ray. its not needed. Seeker missles have UNLIMITED range, opposed to bolt gun range...so save yourself the 20 points and place the ray WAY back, like a basalisks perhaps.

Im also curious about flamers with missile pods....i can see where your comming from..but i dont know whether it would work or not. Tell me if it works ok?

    Apart from that good list.

hmmm where to start...... well your army is 21 points over cause i think you added the firewarriors wrong or something like that.

HQ = not bad, good for getting alot of shots out. id maybe use this more on an elite choice instead of hq though.

Elites = not the smartest ideas ive seen. for the misslepod team id go with dropping the flamers for targeting arrays so that you can hit better with them. for the other crisis team id maybe either make them TWMPs as well or id go with maybe some plasma rifles. if you still want to have 2 weapons firing on each guy then maybe go with the PR,MP,MT setup. that way you have some meq. as for stealths........... id maybe drop them and just get a pathfinder squad. that way you could switch one of the firewarriors devilfish to the pathfinders and save you some points. its cheaper and you get more markerlights this way.

Troops = good. nice solid units that can capture objectives and hold ground.

Fast = ok choice, id maybe play them as seperate teams so that you can have them hit more guys at one time.

Heavy = Excellent choices, no problem with the Hammerheads but maybe drop the SMS on the skyray for burstcannons to save a few more points.
