Welcome to Librarium Online!
I am limited to what I can use, i'm in Mississippi at the moment and the store here has a limited selection.
Lance, Jetbike, Mandiblaster 130
Howling Banshees 10
1x exarch mirrorswords
wave serpent BL SS
Wave Serpent BL SS
10 Dire Avengers (only 1 box was available to buy)
Bladestorm and double weapons
Waveserpent with Starcannons and SS
10 man Guardian squad
1x Warlock (spiritseer - wraithlords will hang out around this)
weapons platform with EML
2x Vypers with starcannons
6 Warp Spiders (6 is all i can buy here, only one box)
Exarch with x2 deathspinner and powerblades
3x 1 exarch (debating whether to use this as the unit is so small, but I would have to buy a different HQ)
I own only about half this list, moving to vegas in a 3 weeks but want to play in a small tournament tommorow. Comments/suggestions?
I have a feeling the wraithlords and the guardians will get left behind a little, and not used to their full potential at all.
I'd either use a little more on the footslogging side of things to avoid Isolating those units so much, Or I'd go the whole hog and totally mechanise the list.
Not that I'm saying it's a bad list, far from it, It looks pretty effective. I was just putting forward the only thing i could think of in an attempt to be helpful. Good luck with it, by the way
thx for the suggestions, there isn't much else i can buy here in terms of footslogging however i COULD put the dire avengers as a foot unit instead of inside of the wave serpent but then I would need to find something else to take up those points.
Should I take away the waveserpent and add pathfinders and have the dire avengers go on foot?
I'd leave the avengers in the waveserpent to be honest, they're not an amazing unit by themselves, so they need to be pretty strategically placed to be very effective. The bladestorm gives you at least one round of effective shooting, and if you reduce a unit to small enough in the single round, you can assault afterwards and hopefully clear up whats left.
That'd be pretty effective at taking out 10 man or so squads of Marines.
I'd just be watchful that you get your pointsworth out of the footsloggers. Make sure your faster units either dart around picking off isolated enemies, or if they get caught up horribly, try and keep them alive long enough to bring the wraithlords close enough to deal out th lovely death they're so good at.
