1 Necron Lord- RO - VoD
12 phase out
I really like just the power behind this army, the flying circus running around and the amazing power of destroyers....destroying everything, true the mono is the only thing that can blow up a vehicle, but blowing off its weapons is enough for me. The only thing I am unsure about is the immortals if I should split them like that or keep them as a whole and have 20 shots per turn with them.
Also I fight, IG Eldar Nids and SM more then anything
in some cases units will be swapped for C'tan for the added power but that's a different army
Welcome to LO and the Necron's Forum Mortis!
I think it's a rather solid list myself. I would argue against putting in a C'tan with your monolith though (unless that's the switch out). Personally 10 immortals is the golden number for VoD when I use them, but admittedly I never tried splitting the squad. Also it's often more beneficial to keep your lord back and together with your force until later in the game, this allows you to pull your units out of charge-threat more easily (granted you field a monolith, something I also do not take).
Some anti-charge units would be a nice change as well. Scarabs and spyders always have a use somewhere. The monolith is unfortunately unable to simply save Necrons from combat the way it once was as half the time we're just going to get swept away instead of staying and taking our hits like big tough undead robots. (you will hear me rant about this about every 5th thread, I apologize in advance). So Necrons have taken to putting big (or small) nasty creatures in the frontlines to keep enemy assaulters out of our troops. You CAN make a perfectly working list without them, just something to consider.
How new to crons and 40K are you by the by? Always helps to know what sort of experience I'm dealing with.
Cheers with the list. And once again, welcome.
I agree you'd probably need some more Cc units to help against assaulting enemies, but I don't like scarabs or spyders that much. I'd probably replace the flying circus (inmortals+lord with VoD) for a Wraithflight (3 wraiths, lord with orb, destroyer body and warscythe). That plus the Deceiver should keep your back covered, plus you can speed into enemy lines to make short work of vehicles/elite units, without risking DS mishaps.

I started 40k about a month ago and was going to start as the daemon hunters
much love for the grey knights
Yet money prevented me from getting the army I needed so I bought a Necron army from a friend and it was the smartest thing I did.
I have come to love the Necrons over anything else and they will always fight for me.
When it comes to rules me and my friends still make mistakes especialy because we started with 4th edition and now are being trying to cram in 5th without making mistakes.
also in responce to alzer Yes the mono would drop for the NB, atm I just dont like the deciver, I guess I just dont get how good he actualy is. The NB has proven MVP most games killing carnifex after carnifex or wraithlords and far seers. The most "Scary CC" I fight is my friends Broodlord and GS...the mono is around to hopfully pull squads away or even nuke the GS with a partical whip. Other then that Striking Scorps are a pain but nothing I cant gun down.

Even though that is a strong CC choice it takes away what im getting at with this list. The true point is true fire power, just so much firepower that no matter the savings throw or wounds it will die, but I have considered what you said before in a more CC oriented army, I love swarms because they prove there power over and over again, yet I have not true play time with TS or Wraiths.
If money is an issue, scarabs are much better than wraiths, if only because they come for "free" with warriors. So getting a lot is easy and fast. Plus, a unit that has a 2+ cover save while on the run is hard to kill. Give that unit 3 wounds...
