Ok so i wanted to have an eldar army that focused on their psychic abilitys and the harlequins. So this is what i came up with
Eldrad Ulthran - 210
Farseer, spirt stones, doom fortune. - 130
5 Warlocks, 4 destructor, 1 enhance. - 180
10 harlequins with kisses 1 troop master with powerweapon - 236
Wave serpent, starcanns and star engines. - 140
2 x 10 dire avengers exarch, 2 catapults and bladestorm - 304
2 x 15 storm gaurdians - 240
3 war walkers with 2 EML's - 210
falcon, bright lance, star engines - 160
fire prisim, holo fields - 150
I like the idea of the war walkers out flanking, then firing off 6 blast templates, or unloading into the back of a tank with the krak missiles. Eldrad goes with the harlequins in the wave serpent, he casts fortune, doom and either mind war or eldrich storm depending on the target. Second farseer uses doom and fortune with the warlocks in the falcon. Every thing else is fairy straightforward. any comments welcome
The list looks good but there are a few changes I would make.
One, drop five of the harlies and their transport. Also replace the troupe master with a shadow seer and use this unit as a hard hitting cc unit. Next add another Fire Prism (same make up as the other) and with the remaining points bring up the two guardians squads and invest in a warlock for each with maybe some flamers or fusion guns.
Sorry short on time, hope it helps
Do I know you?!?!?!?!?
I'd replace Eldrad with a Farseer with whatever layout you want. Not to say Eldrad is bad, but there are other places to spend points.
Warlocks are fine, though you may want to exchange a Destructor for Embolden as insurance. BTW, In your codex on page 27 does it say warlocks may or must take a power?
Dunno much about Harlies, but a ten man squad seems a bit big, albeit delicious.
Put spirit stones on the wave serpent. Its a transport so you always want it moving. Also, Starcannons are a total waste. I like the TL lances on wave serpents, but the TL missile launchers are nice as well.
Love the Avengers, but I feel they should have serpents of their own.
I think I'm a minority but I despise Guardians. Storm guardians are better than defenders, but I feel they need their special weapons, a warlock with enhance, and a transport to make them effective. If you just want to sit them on an objective, then use defenders with whichever weapon you feel you need and have them fire the weapon. In as elite an army as an Eldar the guardians seem totally out of place. If you're running an Ulthwe army I can understand why you would use them, but fluff aside, I hate them.
Brightlance on the falcon is a waste of its pulse laser. Either keep it cheap with the shuriken cannon or give it the missile launcher so it can be fired as defensive weaponry. Also, since the falcon is a transport it should at the very least have spirit stones, but holo-fields are important to have as well.
I feel prisms should be fielded in two's so you can combine crystals.
Agreed, I never field Fire Prisms alone and arent we restricted to only 2 HQ?
