Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm meeting up with an old friend next month to play a game. He's never played against Dark Eldar and will likely be playing daemonhunters or tyranids when we play. I was wondering what you thought of my attempt at improving upon my 1500 list.
Archon, shadow field, combat drugs, agoniser
Retinue of 9 incubi, master w/drugs
Raider, slave snares
10 wyches, wyche weapons, grenades, agoniser&drugged succubus, Raider (same as archons)
10 wyches, wyche weapons, grenades, agoniser&drugged succubus, Raider (see above)
10 grotesques (urien goes here) for 4+ cover really
4X10man Warrior units agoniser syrabites, 4 blasters, 4 dark lances, and 4 splinter cannons (cannons are one unit while dark lances are their own unit)
My wording kind of sucks but still i was wondering what you guys thought.
First off, 9 incubi is indeed a devastating force, but they are SO EXPENSIVE!!! Dropping some off would give you extra points to spend on other upgrades like an animus vitae for the lord (+5 points for every captured enemy) or horrorfexes for the raiders (grenades that pin the enemy). Oh right and what I'd do is change the agonizers on the lord for a punisher, but either way is fine. Wyches I know nothing about, but I guess it looks fine except I'd add the horrorfex on the raider. Grotesques are the coolest. I approve.
With the warrior squads you might want to specialize them a bit more. If I understand correctly, there's one of each weapon in a squad right? Anyways what I'd do, is make 2 squads with 2 dark lances, and one big foot slogging assault squad with splinter cannons and blasters AND plasma grenades of course.
The talos I like, but I do prefer ravagers over the talos as their firepower is just crazy.
Hope this helped!
It came down to what models I own really. I like ravagers as well but don't own any. To my understanding warriors couldnt have plasma granades but I cant remember at the moment, perhaps your right. The warrior squads are indeed specalized, My wording just sucked, lazy typer =).
To make it more clear
10 warriors 2 dark lances, blaster
10 " "
10 warriors 2 splinter cannons, blaster
10 " "
To give a tactics perspective on the whole thing, whne playing 1500 the wyches, and archon are my distractions. They get deep into the enemy zone fast, and stay there for half the game (or shorter if against orks, still havnt found ways of beating them with DE). In reality the warriors are just there for objective holding, but with their weapons set up the idea is cannons advance behind grotesques, while dark lances lay down cover fire and pop tanks. Hopefully this helped with clarification
Ok, seems reasonable.
About the plasma nades, you can give them to your sybarites but indeed not for single warriors.
Yeah, that makes sense. Never thought about it that way. Feel free to check out the tournament lis I posted as well, feedback is always nice and appreciated.
