    okay so this is a list that i hope to win with in a tournament... also if you guys could give me some advice on Tyranid tactics because I don't know any good ones.

    Good List, as for tactics I have found when playing my Nids focusing fire is so important. You cannot get help up on shooting a few different units. Destroy them to the man then move on to the next. Move together nothing says sad face then Synapse death. Against MEQs stagger things so that your Tyrants are getting cover use the fexes. Since your AP sucks it does not matter that the MEQs are getting cover saves.

    Only change I would consider was get a warrior sqaud instead of on Tyrant someone that plays right will beat by taking out your synapse warriors do a better job for a lot of games.

    Why warpfield insted of Extended Carapace?


    I see very few troops. If you are using the Hormagaunts as a buffer between your big bugs and their CC stuff, or as an assault force, they wont last too long. Leaving you with only ONE other troop choice - the 24 gaunts.

    If its an objective game odds are your opponant could wipe out your two gaunts broods if they focus on it. If so, you cant win afterwords.

    I would suggest breaking off a small 8 model spinegaunt squad and have it lurk and going to ground in cover. Or hiding behind your wall.

    Have you considered an 8 model WoN Spine gaunt squad?
    As of Tyranid 5th Ed. codex I have the Gaunts I wanted. I did, however, loose the sniperfexs I relied upon and they were more important then the gaunts.
