    1750 tournament list

Well, already planning for a tournament next year. It'll be 1750, same as this year. So, here's what I'm looking at.

    List 3: dubblewing

    7 nob bikerz (as troops)
    1- klaw
    2 - klaw, waagh banner
    3 - klaw, skorcha
    4 - big choppa, rokkit

    6 meganobz - 2 kombi-skorchas
battlewagon - red paint, 2x big shootas, grot riggas, deffrolla, armour plates - 130

    5 warbikerz
    nob w/ pk, bosspole

Thoughts? I'm leaning towards deffwing simply because so many armies won't know how to deal with it.

    Hmm...

Every list needs more troops, even if it's just 1-2 small units of grots, to sit on objectives.

Never put bosspoles on warbosses, always put them on the unit you're attaching them to. Obviously, if the unit can't take bosspoles (like meganobz) then giving them to the warbosses are fine.

I think making each nob 'unique' is both cheesy and a waste of points (a rare combination), but if you want to go down that road, then go ahead. It's a free country.

Any of the lists are going to have trouble against particular armies. Deffwing will have a lot of trouble against Eldar, with all their power weapons and lances (that will tear the wagons to pieces), and Tau with all their hard to reach skimmers and powerful rail guns. The bikes on the other hand will have a lot of trouble against Chaos (especially 'lash' heavy armies), and any army that has powerful weapons that ignore cover saves (Eldar and Imperial Guard).

Personally, I'd go with the bike army, simply because I don't think battlewagon lists are effective unless they include one or more kustom force fields and plenty of rokkit buggies (as both anti-armor and a distraction).

Here's how I'd play the list:

    Wazzdakka – 180

    4 warbikers - nob w/pk - 135 (attach wazzdakka)

    5 warbikers – nob w/pk, bosspole – 165

    5 warbikers - nob w/pk, bosspole - 165

    5 warbikers – nob w/ pk, bosspole – 165

    5 warbikers – nob w/ pk, bosspole – 165

    16 gretchin – runtherd - 58

    7 nob bikers: 3 powerklaws, painboy, cybork, waaaaugh banner, bosspole, 3 combi-scorchas (on nobz w/powerklaws) - 490

    5 deffkoptas – twin rokkits - 225

9 Kill points, 6 troops, a whole lot of dakka, and the nob bikers (which are an elite choice, but no less formidable) will help tear through enemies in close combat.

    In any case, good luck!
