Hi all what do you think about this vs demons?
We both agreed to not have any big guys
Broodlord with Feeder tendrils
2 With Deathspitters
1 with vemon cannon
2 CC speced (one with 2 set syth talions other with syth talions and rending claws)
do you think ive got a chance or what do you think should be changed?
Perhaps a second unit of 7 genestealers instead of 10 hormagaunts, both are pretty solid thought. Without number on those spinegaunts would be interesting in such a low point game (maybe 2x8 ).
Just a nice tactic I tried in my last game vs deamons: I let him played the first turn and I did not deploy (only outflank, deepstrike and reserve). The game was a draw, but it messed up his deployment (he had to guess where I would fight him) and I gained the initiative to attack him in close combat while bombarding him from two sides. CC was pretty bloody but by deploying in reserve 1 unit of bloodletter, 1 unit of plaguebearer, a keeper of secret, 1 unit of flamer and 1 unit of flying carpets? never saw combat since they were not positionned correctly (bloodthirster did smash through 3 warriors and 8 spinegaunts[without number]).

Things to watch out for:
Breath of Chaos - its a temp weapon and your hordes will feel the hurt...ouch!
Boon of Mutation - he'll easily turn your T3 gaunts and hormagaunts into his tough Chaos Spawns...ouch!
Daemonettes - they're basically cheaper S3/T3 genestealers but just as fast and with more attacks, fleet and rending
Bloodletters - power attacks, furious charge, need I say more?
Plaguebearers - very tough, Feel no Pain, poisoned weapons
Pink Horrors - their only shooty unit, but 3x S4 AP4 shots will just kill your troops
Forget about your rending - all daemons saves are Invulnerables!
Basically they're CC-baddies, but can't shoot worth a lick. Make your Warriors shooty (all Deathspitters + 1 Barbed Strangler, Talons) and split them into 2 squads of 3-4 each. Trust me, since his army arrives by Deepstrike, your blast weapons are a big threat to him.
I'd change the unit of hormagaunts (and some spinegaunts) to some more stealers (maybe another . They're the only ones that stand a chance in CC with the deamons. And shoot down any Pink Horrors with your Warriors.
Yep, shooty warriors are the way to go. Give them also some CC upgrades, he will try to get into CC (scything talons, +WS is good enough). If you deploy everyone from the start do not spread out your troops. Keep your gaunt at the front (make a wall) and let them die first (WON gaunts will come back to grab objective). You will be able to get one more turn of shooting and you will get to counter-assault.
Right, Thanks for the feedback on that, New list is now:
Barbed stranglers and deathspitters in each with Syth talons
Broodlord with 8 stealers
14 Spine guants WON
just feels like i dont have enough now
If you planned on using a a big unit of gaunts with WON you could take the points and get some toxin sacs. This gives you only 10 gaunts but they are deadlier (and they will come back in the battle if killed).
Still I like your list as it is. You can win the game if you can get the charge. Do not hesitate to let the gaunts dies and to sit on an objective with the stealers.
