right here it is so far...
Spirit Stones 120
10 Howling Banshees
Mirror swords 182
6 Fire Dragons
Tank Hunters 131
10 Dire Avengers
5 Dark Reapers
Fast Shot 215
10 Gaurdians 80
O.k. thats it so far, I only play marines, well 99% of the time, so it's a pure anti SM list. All that is 890 I'd love it if someone could advise me on how to make it 1,000 or even 1,500. I've tried but can't manage, was thinking about a Wraithlord but can't squeze it in, possibly 2 D-cannon turets and a shuricannon for the gaurdians? Thanks guys All advice welcome
PS: Diliberatly left the guardians without a turret cos I dunno what to give them and it should help with the points, i.e. spend left over points on what u can aford. Thanks
This won't add any points, but I would give the Banshee Exarch an Executioner, especially when fighting SM. Scoring hits isn't an issue with Banshees, but scoring wounds on T4 guys definitely is. Also, footslogging with the Banshees is very risky, buying a Wave Serpent for them is a must. Depending on who the Farseer is with, you might want to replace Guide with Fortune, or even have both. Scatter Lasers are usually a good choice for the Guardian's turret. You should assume that infantry will have a 4+ cover most of the time, so multitude of shots > less, AP 2 shots.
If you're planning for your Avengers to get assaulted (the power weapon/shimmershield leads me to this conclusion), Defend is another awesome ability.
If your dragons are going tank-hunting, the exarch is unnecessary. The range on the firepike is nice, but it's only really going to be useful when/if the other dragons are OUT of range, making the unit nigh on useless. Tank Hunters is nice against Land Raiders, when hits are scarce, but otherwise it's complete overkill. Drop him for 35 points.
To finish the list off, I'd buy a Wave Serpent w/ shuricannons and stones (to keep it cheap) for 110 points, and stick in a scatter laser turret for the guardians (+15 pts), and drop out the Fire Dragon Exarch. Replace Guide with Fortune (more of a personal choice, I think only the Guardians REALLY benefit from guide, with their BS3, everyone else has a solid chance to hit.) (+10 points).
Unless my math is wrong, you have 10 more points to spare... Stick in another guardian model for 998? Or maybe switch the power-weapon/shimmershield on the Avengers for dual shuricats and put scatter lasers on the wave-serpent.
O.k. regards the Farseer, think I'll stick with guide becasue then he can sit at the back with the Dark reapers or Support platform or whatever and like, not get shot! And guide them (gotta be within 6") as oppose him having to be with 6" of a unit that is needing re role armour saves.
Also regards the Fire Dragon, It looks like you pick between a Dragons Breath or Fire Pike to stick it into his hand, is that so? It looks like I could cut the long barrel section of the fire pick out and stick the two ends tgether... I'll post a pick to explain. Would this work? Do you just stick the gun on, anyone bought some Fire Dragons and could tell me? Thanks

Don't drop the fire dragon exarch. Sure they can kill tanks easily, but rolling a 3+ to destroy them makes it almost assured, you don't wanna pop out and penetrate a land raider, just to have it lose one weapon, and the fire pike, well you can only get out within 2" of one exit hatch from the rears of our tanks, there are times when that 3" longer 2d6 melta range will make the difference. So keep him, plus he hits on 2's, so he does increase your reliability quite a bit. i owuldn't get the guardians at all, buyt if you must i would get much more and a warlock with conceal, or embolden, just sometihng that'll keep them on an objective, plus give the HB exarch an executioner, statistically it is much better, plus war shout and acobatics, so they still kick ass if they get charged, and war shout because whenever oyur opponent rolls dice he has a chance to fail, it's a psychological tihng, and it's 5 points, you'll love me when you assault some termies, only for them to find their hitting back on 5's (:
Death to the Alien!
who likes cockroaches anyway.
Ordos Xenos 4/0/3
Hmmmm... Well I do play an oponant with 2 Land Raiders, though he'd only realy use 1 at a time, esp in 1,00-1,500 point games. Nice to hear a few more opinions on the Fire Dragon Exach, I got one for and one against!
i have a question..guardians are storm or defender
if thei are storm i would belieave a warlock plus some flamers would be nice....no matter how nice is the armor save, if you force him make 10 saves he will surely fail 2-4.
If they are defender, a scatterlaser platform or if you play on less cover maps a starcannon would be nice. remember defender guardians MUST have a platform. is in the rules
fire dragons will be a primary target for a mech list of sm so you need more at (remember warlocks/farseers are awesome AT) or/and to hide your firedragons inside a falcon with holofields/spirit stones or a spiritstoned serpent.
Wraithlord is a nice high T platform to attract enemy fire and is versatile enough.
D- cannons are very nice for zone interdiction and small tables. Also wraithguards are very good AT against those pesky land raiders.

Hows this suiting Y'all? 1000 points give or take 5.
10 Dire Avengers
Power weapon/Shimmer shield
5 Fire Dragons
5 Dark reapers
Wave serpent (for the Banshees or Fire Dragons)
Twin linked Scatter lasers
Tis allot of models for 1,000 which is good, but will it kick ass?
