Hmmm. I'll take a shot at it.

    HQ
    Fireknife Shas'el: 97 pts.
    PR, MP, TA, HWMT

    Elites
    2-man Deathrain team: 106 pts.
    TLMP, TA

    2-Man Flame Team: 102 pts.
Team Leader w/ AFP, TL Flamers, HWMT
'Ui w/ TL Flamer, DC, Gun Drone

    Troops
    6 FWs: 60 pts.
    Devilfish: 95 pts.
    MT, DP

    10 Kroot: 100 pts.
    5 Hounds

    10 Kroot: 100 pts.
    5 Hounds

    Heavy
    Hammerhead: 165 pts.
    RG, BCs, MT, DP

    Hammerhead: 165 pts.
    RG, BCs, MT, DP

That's exactly 1000 pts. It should be able to take on all enemies, especially hordes.

    Good luck!

I do like what you have come up with here. It looks solid. My only worry is the 2 hammerhead in 1000 points because we are being judged on army comp and sportsmanship. People might cry cheese for 1000 points. But i will give it a go to see how it works soon. Ill have to try it on the nids list for i think they will be the biggest contender.(he usully uses T7 crusherfexes i mean he pimps them out hard.)

I would argue that 2 hammerheads would be no less cheesy than 2 crusherfexes so you should have a reasonable arguement.

Though one could argue you really minimized your troops to fit that in.

6x FW and 10x Kroot is almost bare minimum troop except that you gave at least 2 squads of kroot.

It certainly gives the impresion of a little min/max cheesing.

That being said the list looks as if it would be very competitive and you are spending approx 1/3 troops, 1/3 heavy support, 1/3 HQ and Elite. That's pretty reasonable if you ask me.

The AFP can only be taken by Shas'vre and above. There has also been debate in the past as to whether an Elite Shas'vre can actually take any of the Special Issue *systems*, as his entry on P.34 Codex TE says that he may take SI *wargear*.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I guess one hound would have to be removed to compensate.

As for comp/cheese, if you would like to make this list seem less cheesy, you could take out a Hammerhead. This would give you the points to bring your FW squad up to 12, then you could spend the remaining points on a pathfinder squad or something like that, as this list lacks ML support. I would just keep it as is though, that Pf squad would die on the first turn anyway.

I don't think taking 6 FWs is cheesy here because they are in a devilfish. Their main purpose is objective grabbing, and they do it well. The only time I disembark is when I want to absolutely annihilate a target. Even then I usually make sure that no enemies will be able to target them.

PS: Let us know how you do; which units were useful & which weren't.
