7 Banshees w/exarch, mirror swords, and acrobatics
Wave Serpeant w/ Spirit stones and TL BL
10 DA w/exarch, two Avenger SC, Bladestorm
Wave Serpeant w/ Spirit Stones and TL EML
Fire Prism w/ SS
Fire Prism w/SS
Rangers hold home objectives, everyone else does exactly what you would expect them too.
Also I am 9 pts under and lost with what to do with them. I know I can add warshout to the banshees. I would like to stay under, but I could add runes of witnessing or a shuriken cannon to one of the wave serpeants. I just dont know yet. Suggestions?

Well I guess Ill add warshout and see how I do this thursday and saturday
The only way I can see to spend your pts would be to drop the spirit stones on the fire prisms and take a 6th ranger and shuriken cannon on the EML serpent. That makes it quite a nice anti-troop vehicle since it can fire the cannon and plasma missile while on the move (plasma missile is str 4).
The spirit stones don't add much to a fire prism to be honest, they're essential on a transport, but whether you've got them or not your prism still can't shoot and thats all its really there to do.
Thanks for the advice. (at least someone responded !) I don't know if I am going to add that specifically, but I think I will drop the SS.
Put a Singing Spear on your Farseer (if you have a model availablefor it), and add Warshout to the Banshees. Thats eight points, leaving only one.
Probably better things to do with the points, but thats the first thing I thought of.
Arvan'drynn Craftworld - 15,000pts (deceased)
Tau - 2,000 points (atomized while on patrol)
If the Farseer is, as I suspect, riding with the banshees a spear would be counter productive. Once they're out of their transport the Banshees will probably be running between targets so the Farseer wont get a lot of chance to throw his spear. If your seer is going to spend most of his time in combat a spear will actually be a disadvantage because it decreases his no. of attacks by 1 for being double handed.
Another though I had today, are you facing an army with an abscene amount of vehicles? If not you could easily drop the Bright lance on the wave serpent down to something slightly more cost effective like a scatter laser or EML. The prism duo is more than enough anti-tank for most 1k games, lets face it there's not going to be many Landraiders or monoliths around at this level (certainly no more than one in any army) and everything else has a weak spot.
Otherwise I really like this setup, I would probably run a squad of bikes instead of the rangers, but its down to theme and personal preference I suppose.
He's right, He is riding with banshees and will be doing a lot of running or in a transport, so throwing isn't really much of an option.
Unfortunately war shout i haven't really found useful. Since its not hard to pass unmodified ld tests in most armies. And armies with low ld, usually have some type of rule or power which allows them to use someone elses ld.
As for vehicles, from what I have seen so far....CSM= Vindicater, Predator, Rhino. 2 Tau players= Devilfish, Hammerhead, Tyranid= Super Carnifex, Hive Tyrant, IG= 1 or 2 lemon russes , ? # of chimeras, SM= Vindicater, Rhino
Personally I am unsure if I would run the bikes, because I wouldnt wanna use them for home objective sitting. Plus I dont have the models. If I go up to 1500 or 1250, ill add some jetbikes for sure.
In case anyone is wondering or actually reading this thread....
I dropped the spirit stones from the prisms and adding runes of warding and warshout.. I know still under but I didnt really care.
I played against a chaos space marine army and Tau tonight.
The CSM army had roughly-
Lord with lightning claws
7 Thousand Suns
6 chaos space marines
Tau Army had rougly-
2 squads fire warriors
Shaso with Crisis Suit body guard(3) and 2 gun drones and 2 shield drones
3 broad side suits with 2 shield drones
devilfish with pathfinders in it
When i played both games, my immense firepower was very crippling, exspecially when I went first. Also nothing but heavy weapons could even hurt me, so half of their armies couldnt even shoot. My rangers didnt really do much but hold the objective and get shot at. ( i dont understand why youd want to shoot at a 3+cover model when there is 2 prisms next to him and 2 serpeants rushing at your face) but whatever.
Both times I had basically won by turn 3. The firepower is really really harsh in this list. Tanks get ruined, banshees get out and chop everything up, and DA bladestorm the crap out of enemy troops holding objectives.
I am planning on trying this list out against other armies next week, I am concerned about playing a outflanking genestealer army though.
So if anyone was going to try a similar list, I highly recommend it!!!
No Problem man, I dont mind helping others as people help me. Thats the whole point of this thread. This weekend I am going to try to play a couple more games in and I will post some more pros/cons as well as an 100%up to date roster that I used in the games.
