this list is gonna make you go wah! who? were and why would you do such a thing. my club is oopening soon once again and i wanna go try a horrible list just for laughs! here it goes
HQ= 500 points
fast attack 450
Yah im seriously gonna try that. and alzer, NO i am not adding tombspyders. I bought 3 of em 2 weeks ago and played 3 games with them and they are now currently building up dust next to my deceiver
HAhahahahahahhaa! I'm not gonna force you to take something if it doesn't work out for ya. Different units work for different folks.
3x3 destroyers is good. The Nightbringer should fill in your CC and anti-tank needs rather soundly, and orblords are good to have. Though I'm always iffy about having 2 Necron HQ units under 1850, they're very expensive, and you're putting 1/3 of your points into HQ with this list.
6 Immortals are iffy without a second squad. Personally for 1.5k I'd get warriors instead, your mass-fire requisites are fulfilled with your mass destroyers. Using warriors will jump your phase out, and get you another objective capping squad.
Kinda hard to say what exactly I'd shift around, and what I'd add, but the baseline is more warriors and less...something else? I could see it working, just that an objectives game might be a bit of a pain.
ok since its friendly games, im gonna drop the immortals and go 28 warriors, but place them 10 10 and one squad of 8 (yes its ilegal but were just a bunch of guys haven fun)
Looking back at it, its actiully a pretty solid list. but i can see it having problems against orks and tyranids... and those happen to be the 2 popular armies around here... but i figure the harder battle the more i learn, so what the hell, ill try it out !
Ps. I just simply wanted to use my nightbringer because its an awsome model
oooo Lucky. Having a squad of 8 sounds really nice...
I thoroughly approve of the "This model looks cool I'm using it and I don't care what anyone says" approach. I'd rather use poor units that I don't like the look of than great units that look stupid. (Fortunately I love how all Necron units look)
well its not only that, its also because i dont get to use the nightbringer often because lets be honest it just doesnt fit into most serious tournement/competitive army lists. so i figure nows a good time to bring him out of the darkness and unleash him on some poor defensless little space marine. (i hate marines)
and i got an idea for you and some other more experienced necron players to make a new guide/tactic page, ill send you a message.
