your farseer seems too expensive, you defender guardians i don`t like them. rest is just tooling.
Hight elf and Craftworld Eldar army project pics heavy: linky
Elites- I'm sure you know the debate on the firedragon exarch and firepike. I have taken them with it and without and have found the pike useful, but not always necessary.
Is there anyway to get more than 6 striking scorpions? Ive found that all CC eldar units thrive with the sheer amount of dice. Now if there was a str 4 power weapon cc maybe it wouldnt matter much. *crosses fingers* please give banshees furious charge! ;-)
I take it these guardians are for home objective sitting? If I were you, i would take embolden, and put your home objective in cover that is 4+. Then you cover save is better than conceal, and when they wanna run you get a second chance.
DA+jetbikes are fine.
This should be fine, small squad but should be okay.
Id take a falcon or another prism though
If its not to much trouble maybe I could convince you to report your battle for the eldar faction?
Theres still a few things I need to buy for this army, but when I start playing I'll report the battles (assuming I can report them when my opponent isn't a member)
Ok, the Farseer, yes he's expensive, targets will be enemy psykers, the enemy HQ, commissars, veteran sergeants, special weapons storm troopers, in that order. Normally I wouldn't mind war, but the IG are so cheap they generally have a lot to use it on. With regards to the runes of witnessing they are necessary on a two power seer. A 1:12 failure rate is just too high when you're testing twice a turn for psychic powers alone, at least not when you can decrease your odds of failure to 1:72 with a 10 point upgrade.
I always conceal my guardians, theres just no guarantee there'll be enough cover in the right places, embolden is an option, but its risky. Having said that lasguns are AP- right? So I probably don't need it anyway. In any case a warlock is a fantastically expensive upgrade for a guardian squad, if I don't need the cover save I may as well drop him altogether.
With regards to a falcon, there was one in the list to carry the dragons, but I switched it for a serpent because I think they're better. In fact the dragons will be riding around in a falcon (shuriken cannon, spirit stones) until I can afford another serpent.
Ok, fire dragons, I know the deal with these guys, we've discussed it to death on these boards, the fact is I very much considered tank hunters as well because I know I'm going to be facing at least 3 Leman Russ', possibly 6, not to mention the Hell hounds trying to ruin my day with the guardians. The only reason I didn't take tank hunters was because I couldn't afford that and bladestorm.
I'd love to be able to afford another couple of scorpions and hawks, but the pts just aren't there. Maybe dropping mindwar, the spirit stones and runes of witnessing on the farseer?

How about this
Runes of warding, doom
Exarch, biting blade, shadow strike
6 Fire dragons
Exarch, firepike, tank hunters
9 Dire Avengers
Exarch, 2 shuri-cats, bladestorm
Serpent, BLs, SS
6 Jet bikes
8 Swooping hawks
Exarch, sunrifle, skyleap, intercept
Shuri-cannon, spirit stones
I think it rolls in at 2pts under

I wouldn't even waste my time taking DA without a serpent. especially if you are facing several lemon russes.
You need holofields on that falcon. Specially since he will probably be being shot at every turn by lemon russes. And id also venture to say that without some TL BL from wave serpeants you are venturing very dangerously against IG.
Sorry, the DAs should have a wave serpent with BLs, I missed it off
Why does a guardian squad need a warlock? He doesn't increase their Ld any, what we essentially pay is 40pts for a 5+ cover save and 30pts to reroll Ld tests? Thats crazy, embolden doesn't make that much difference. Or am I missing something huge?
I never take holofields as a rule, they're really not that amazing, and the cost is just ridiculous
Rerolling leaderhsip to keep them on the board , so you can hold your objective. I know he doesnt add the leadership but being able to reroll it is pretty good.
I know i would hate to have to get back across the board to my home objective because the guardians ran away like cowards.
