Welcome to Librarium Online!
Okay so i'm new to Orks and i've gotten 2 sets of orks from the AoBR sets.
for 500 pts i'm looking at running
Power Klaw, 'Eavy Armour
Big Choppa x6, 'Eavy Armour
Boyz x20 with nob
Big Shoota x2,
Nob - Big Choppa, 'Eavy Armour
Twin-linked Rokkit Launcha
Plan on running the warboss with nobs in the looted wagon, use the Defkopta to harass and hopefully kill any light vehicles/transports while i move up and of course use boyz to grab objective.
I understand that with no powerklaws in the AOBR box you have limited access to them, but they are quite useful. Knocking down tanks, MC's, & ignoring saves is a wonderful thing.
For now, try this list out. At 500 points you won't see that many vehicles & MC's, but as you get to higher points, take more claws.
One switch I would make is to make sure you have a bosspole in every squad that you can take it. Replace the boyz nob's eavy armor with a bosspole, and try to grab one for your nob squad too. Warboss is probably better off with a cybork body than eavy armor if you only have points for one. Drop 1 big choppa from the nobz to pick it up.
Sounds good thanks
something I learned recently, nobz in boyz squads don't need 'eavy since you are going to allocate wounds to them last. when you finally start rolling to save with the nob the squads already gone. makes sense to save those points for something else.
in a 500 point game, which i've been doing a lot of because i don't have a full army yet, 5 nobz in the nob squad is plenty. you can free up some points dropping that 6 nob, maybe give the squad a waaagh banner, boss pole, or a pain boy (just use boy model if you are playing with friends that don't mind).
it looks like you have made a good start making use of what you've got.
however you might want to change that looted waggon for a trukk as soon as you can,
i trukk is better at transporting your Boyz to where they want to go and if it has a RFR its the same price!
eah plan on getting some trucks but right now i'm having to do counts as with my rhinos for my iron hands
