    500pts- For League

Our GG is going to begin a league that begins at 500pts. We will be playing 4 games at that level, 3 pts for massacre, 2 for win and 1 for draw (0 for loss). Anyway, after the 4 games the one at the top will be crowned champion of 500pts... and then anyone at a later date can challenge them for a grab at the title. Of course the defending champion will have to use the defending list. This will continue for 1K 1.5K and 2K point. Oh and the champion gets a trophy and many many bragging rights!

So, our GG is big on tough lists but we all take to the challenge, 9 oblits, dual lash... you name it, they are common. Cheese, beard... they are called many things. Here we just call them... lists, dirty lists . So I come to you with an idea, and I want to develop it into a list that will have a good deal of everything at 500pts so some thinking:

    Heamonculi, destructor, siccorhand- 45pts

    Raider Squad-5 with splinter cannon - 50pts
    Raider - 55pts

Sniper Squad 10 with 2 Lances (this could also be a raider sniper squad...)-100pts

    Ravager 3 Dissintegrators - 120pts

    Warp Beast Pack 5 Beasts - 75pts

    55 pts left.

I could upgrade the heamy to a dracon, add more members to the raider squad so many options.
I really want to use the warp beasts... I got my hands on some warghs... from TLOtR .

I'm no DE expert, but i believe you have to have at least one squad of Wyches to be able to field the Warp Beasts.

I would say drop the darklance foot squad and warp beasts and replace them with 2 more raider squads. You should have enough points left over for blasters and horrofexes.

That'll make most other lists cry.

    yeah I saw my mistake...

Ok so, round 2 goes something like this:

    Heamonculi- Destructor, Siccor - 45pts

    Raider Squad 5 with splintercannon
    Raider - lance, horrorfex

    Raider Squad 5 with darklance
    Raider- lance

    Ravager- 3 Dissies
    Ravager- 3 Dissies

    Total- 500pts

Now, should I take the second ravager? or should I go for another raider squad, and dracon with agonizer? At 500pts I have a feeling that shooting the snot out of my enemies will be quite a good tactic.

    Cheers!

I think the second raider should also do SC imo. with only 2 troop choice you want to keep the raiders moving and the raider DL can still shoot while the SC shoots at a different target. I also like 2 ravs. I like 1 DL 2 Dizzy but thats what works for me. goodluck.

That is a list that should be more then capable of tabling almost any other opposing 500pt force.

There is no such thing as an auto win list. There is no HQ in that list. I am not a fan of warrior squads, I like speed. 6 plasma cannons will scare anyone, make them stick to cover and the raiders are there for speed in grabbing objectives and delivering the hemies destructor.

Looks pretty good. I would change out the Warriors' DL & SC for 2 blasters, a horrorfex on a Raider, and archangel of pain on the Haemonculus. Your list has more range though, which might help the longevity of the units in certain games. It's a judgement call really.
