The purpose of theis list is essentially to familiarize myself with units I don't normally field (Autarch, Warp Spiders, Striking Scorps, and Dark Reapers) and to give my friends a break from my mechdar. The inspiration came from a few posts by Fleeting Aether on his Warp Spider Autarch stuck in with the unit of Warp Spiders:
Autarch (WJG, Mandiblasters, Power Weapon, Fusion Gun)
Warp Spiders x10 (Exarch, Extra Deathspinner, Power Blades, Withdraw)
Striking Scorpions x10 (Exarch, Scorpion's Claw, Stalker, Shadowstrike)
Fire Dragons x5
Wave Serpent (SS, TL Shuricannons)
Dark Reapers x5 (Exarch, Tempest Launcher, Crack Shot)
This leaves me with 264 pts for troop choices, but I'm unsure what to take. I was originally leaning towards two bike squadrons (5 man +1 shuricannon each) but I'm open to suggestions
Drop 2 Warp Spiders, I find that anything that can't be dealt with by 8 Spiders and an Autarch is going to be out of the killing capacity of them anyways. This frees up 44 points for your troops. Since this is mostly an all foot list, I recommend a squad of 5 Pathfinders and a squad of 13 Guardians with Embolden Warlock and Scatter Laser. The Pathfinders are rather hard to kill and the Guardians due to being 13+ strong, will require 4 deaths in one turn to take a morale check, which they can re-roll due to Embolden. Scorpions can infiltrate with the Rangers and be their bodyguards.
