Strat in quick in run an elite carnifex and a zoanthrope with each troop squad
if the troop dies they'll come back with "without number" and go forward with the heavy carnifexs and tyrant for a second wave.

NO! BAD! BBBBBAAAADDDD! You have 540 pts and only 1 leash for them all! Unless you mean Synapse on the Zoanthropes because I have no clue what "Hive Mind" is.
You have 6 troop choices available to you. Seeing as your gaunts have WN (I refuse to call it WoN), I assume you're not too worried about kill points. Splitting each unit into halves to fill up the 6 troop choices allows you to screen, decoy and multi-assault in addition to making sure that if one of your broods rolls a 1 for fleet, your line doesn't suffer a massive dip.
All in all, I highly disagree with WN. Dropping WN from all 3 broods gives you an extra 30 gaunts. This would allow you 6 broods of 15, much more intimidating. WN now just means extra kill points and all the use I can see of it is pt burn.
Your heavy support carnifex(s) confused me at first. And they kinda still do seeing as they seem to be lost as to what they're supposed to do. Drop them for a Flyrant (Winged Tyrant w/ Scything talons x2, Toxin Sacs, Flesh Hooks, Warp Field - 142 pts) and a close combat 'fex which costs around 138 pts to give your assault phase the much needed boost. It also would allow you to take out tanks with more ease.
I can not say I can see what you want Catalyst for. The Horror would work much better for them (incase an assault from deepstrikers at your 6) or using the 'Thropes as screens (in attempt to shut down enemy assaults). You've got enough gaunts to continue the fight after some have died, your carnifexes are mostly shooty or at least tough enough to take the attacks and your Tyrant has a high enough Initiative to go on par with everything but the quickest of units.
Although I see your logic in having a wave approach, I usually find that it usually faulters and fails. If the tyranid line does not move in unison and surround the target all at once, there would be a high chance of it faultering. Tyranids are nomadic and they move together like locust. The only tyranids left behind should be dead tyranids.
i do mean synapses. andthanks for advice im gonna rethink army.
