I am having a doubles tournament this weekend and I will be teaming up with a tyranid player.
TL Fusion blaster
HW drone controller w/ shield
TL missile pod
1x team leader
HW drone controller w/ gun drone
HW multi tracker
HW target lock
Thanks for any help. I know I have a TL fusion blaster but so many times I have rolled a one when I really needed to hit something.
Also I have no kroot because all melee duties will be taken care of by the tyranids
Thanks for your input!

In my opinion there are really only 2 ways to go with Tau for doubles. Either team up with another tau player if you are intending on using lots of pathfinders (ie markerlights). Or, team up with a good assault army which the nids definitely are.
My suggestion would be drop the stealth team. Instead, I would suggest a torch squad or go with 2 more deathrains. I would lean towards deathrains as you have the nids to take care of other assaults. With the increased missile pods you can more easily deal with light armor/transports and high toughness models.
The other thing I would suggest is lose the markerlight and MT/TL and just add 1 more firewarrior to each troop choice. In my opinion if you decide to use markerlights you kinda need more and to do that you get a pathfinder squad. I dont think the 20 points you are investing into having that markerlight, MT and TL are going to make a difference. Small thing but thats what I think.

First things first, I could probably drop the stealth team, but I have a slight problem as I am just starting out I dont have two many models I have at the moment one more crisis suit, and I could see adding it to the dealthrain guy. (personally I don't like 3 man squads due to moral checks.) If I make that one a team leader I could possibly have two marker drones and I'd be at a total of 752 and keep the one markerlight. Little bit less dakka but more accuracy.
Before I forget I'll be playing against imp. guard and space marines (vanilla) space marines and space marines (templar and salamanders) and one of my friends Is just going to filll the last two with daemon hunters and necrons. I'm not sure if the last guy is coming but if he does that'll be the line up.
Give a search on the forums about Kroot; unless you give them Hounds, they are definitely not to be used for combat purposes in most situations, and they are better bang for the buck than Fire Warriors. Don't fall under the illusion that Kroot are a combat unit, because they really are not.
I understand model limitations, but that should be the end of the reasoning on why not to take Kroot.
This belongs in the army list section.
