Second Try; Tau Fi'Rios Hunter Cadre 1500 Points

So, after getting some more models in and doing some play testing... I've come up with this list.
The point of Squad Three, is to move up in the Pathfinders Devilfish and grab middle objectives whilst Squads One and Two sit back with Pulse Rifles and hammer away! Stealth Suit teams will outflank and light stuff up on the flanks with burst cannons. "Sunforge" team will Deep Strike in to hopefully pop some vulnerable vehicles on rear armour. The Pathfinders will scout move up into cover or something and light the fools up with markerlights so my "Firewall" of XV88's can hopefully control the movements, likewise with my "Great White" and "Blue Mako".

Slight problems with a few elements in the list, I'm afraid.

HQ: Bodyguard costs a lot more than 79pts

Elites XV8 unit: If I'm reading it right, you have two XV8 battlesuits in the unit. However, only one of them is capable of taking hard-wired systems. The standard Shas'ui will have to drop one of his weapons if you wish to take a multitracker, as this guy has no access to the armoury.

One thing you do need to do is to stop taking Shas'vres!! It's costing you Xpts every time for no real benefit in return. You have 4 of them in this list, the cost of which would supply you with the points needed to provide your two Hammerheads with a Multitracker each, thus making them far more manouevrable and still able to shoot.

Otherwise the list isn't too bad. I personally don't care for Gunline Tau, but that's just me. I like having an armoured shell round my squishy little blue troops!

A suggestion you might like to consider for one of your Stealth Teams is to drop one of the Stealthsuits and replace it with a Marker Drone, thus turning the unit into a Stealth Marker Team. Very effective from range, and virtually untouchable from return fire from across the table due to the Stealth Field Generator. Your Pathfinders will take an inordinate amount of firepower because your opponent knows just how annoying Markerlights are, so he will do everything he can to reduce the number of ML-bearing troops. Pathfinders will go bye-bye very quickly, but a Marker Team in Stealth Armour is a lot more difficult to shift/kill. Plus they can also move due to the relentless rule, which means you can relocate your MLs if necessary. This moving option is not available to the Pathfinders.
