Welcome to Librarium Online!
They are doing a local tourney at 1000pts, and I was wanting to do something a little looney this time around.
Weirdboy warp head
Big Mek w/ KFF
6x Grots (x30 Slaver x3)
Lotted wagon w/ boomgun, bigshoota
comes out to 1000pts on the money.
i think you took the hole your better off with grotz thing a lil bit far
Dump the Mek and get another Wierdboy for Much luls.
I know one guy is thinking about bringing IG just for that reason....
side note do you actually have 180 grots?
2000pts Orks 4-2-1
When I got back into 40k just before 4th edition came out I bartered, begged, and bought every 2nd edition box set ork and grot I could get ahold of.....I got ahold of quite a few...
After play testing the army against vanilla marines, eldar, chaos marines, necrons, mechanized imperial guard, and an old codex genestealer horde, with randomly rolled mission/deployment and a table set up by a third party. It has been determined that this army isn't all that fun to play against.
It was a blast to play, just cause watching the grots win gave me the giggles. There are so many bodies and too much randomness for an opponent to compensate fast enough at this point level. Many armies are outnumbered 4 (or even 5) to 1.
The only army that beat me hands down was the IG with 3 medusas and a LR: Punisher. The old codex 'stealers fought me to a kill point draw.
All in all, as a competitive army it works better than I would have ever expected as 1000 pts. As the points amounts go up you could add in specialist troops to really make this a surprising army. But I am thinking that for a friendly local tourney they will be staying on the shelf.....but who knows 'Ard Boyz is coming. :-)
On a side note: I found 187 grots all together.....I think I might have traded some of them a while back.....
