    Vanilla Eldar 2000pt

For starters, i'm still pretty much new to this and my first army are eldar, so i'm still getting used to how they play, it might show in the list too. Any and all suggestions are very welcome! I shall be playing against Space Marines, The Tau, Orks and Dark Eldar. Here goes:

    Farseer
    Witchblade, Shuriken Pistol,
    Spirit Stones, Doom, Fortune 130

    Farseer,
    Witchblade, Shuriken Pistol, fortune 85

    Troops:
    9 Dire Avengers
    Dire Avenger Exarch(2 ASC,Bladestorm) 152

    9 Dire Avengers
    Dire Avenger Exarch(PW/Shield,Defend/bladestorm)
Wave Serpent w/ TL shuriken cannons, Spirit Stones 287

    10 Guardians 126
    Warlock, Spiritseer, Scatter Laser

    Elite:
    9 Howling Banshees
    Howling Banshee Exarch(Executioner, Acrobatic)
Wave Serpent w/ TL Shuriken Cannons,Spirit Stones 297

    9 Striking Scorpion
Striking Scorpion Exarch (biting blade,Shadowstrike) 197

    6 Fire Dragons
    96

    Fast
    7 Warp Spiders
    Warp Spider Exarch(Deathspinner x2) 193

    Heavy
Wraithlord (Bright Lance, Missile Launcher, 2x Flamers) 155

Wraithlord (Bright Lance, Missile Launcher, 2x Flamers) 155
    Falcon (spirit stones, shuricannon) 130

    Total: 2003

here's how i meant for it to work: the fortune/doomseer goes with banshees into the transport, the fortuneseer goes with the shimmershield Dire Avengers, since i have found they have ENORMOUS staying power when doubled with fortune. Scorps will infiltrate, and as soon as possible, the wave serpent Dire Avengers will be there to back them up. Banshees will find a target appropriate to them (such as Termies) and eradicate it. I have put the doom/fortuneseer with them since they usually finish combat so quickly, they get shot at in the opponent's turn... those rerolls really help. Warp Spiders will take care of light veichles, while fire dragons will mount the falcon and take care of the big ones. Wraithlords will stay in the back, along with the wraithlords for wraithsight, while the shooty dire avengers will be more of a back-up unit...

So, is the list any good? Suggestions?

I suggest removing the DA for 10 foot guardians with conceal lock and a scatter or EML. They will be better in the long run.

Instead of a falcon I would get a wave serpent for them, they are way better and for 110 points you can have a very similar vehicle but with the energy field.

Nice balance. Dont see lists like this often anymore.
    Eldar -APOC- 6500 Points
Chaos Daemons -Fate Crusher- 3500 Points
    Grey knights - 1000 Points

Thanks for the reply, and i think i will switch the falcon with wave serpent, i can even get an extra Dragon for those points.
As for dropping Dire Avengers, i'm not sure that'd be a good idea. Scatter Laser is great for popping light tanks, or some tougher units, however if i do, i'll loose a lot of my anti-swarm punch... And the Orks can get swarmy, same for the Tau Kroot, plus DAs can survive a couple of rounds of close combat, especially when the exarch has shimmershield, so that my other cc specialists can get in.

And thanks, i tried to keep it balanced. ^^

    Thanks for the reply!

You are correct, DAs are good at swarming. Defend and PW/SS is a fun combo but your foot DA squad doesnt even have it. Also, 9 shuriken catapults, 1 Pistol, and 4 scatter laser shots is decent anti swarm. Since DA have short range they will assault you the next turn anyway, just like if you used the shorter range Guardians. I was just saying a scatter laser will give you more shots at them as they advance. You could try Pathfinders or rangers too.

Tis up to you. I know DAs are better i just thought by using guardian defenders youd have more options for them then just anti swarm at your objective.

What are the Fire Dragons doing?? I see no tranport and none mentioned that I saw in the thread. Unless you plan on having tanks come to you (not likely with most armies) you need to be able to deliver the Dragons to them. Not sure if another transport is in the cards the way you have your list set up so maybe switch them out? Not sure how to get them to sork with a minor tweak and I don't want to rewrite your list. Take a look and think about their role and how they'll accomplish it.

The fire dragons ride in the falcon, i realize they're useless otherwise. Also, i have tried switching dire avengers for guardian defenders, but they didn't perform as well as DAs. Still, with some practice, i might learn how to use them.

I apologize for the double post, however i need your advice.

here's the thing: scorpions. I've been using them for a while, had some difficulties as how to use them since they couldn't fleet. Found out outflanking was very nice. However, they still mostly didn't perform that well; to be honest, 75% of the time, it was because of the dice (the worst i had was 25 out of 30 ws4 vs. ws4 hits, out of which 15 wounded). My question is: should i switch them with another squad of warp spiders? those have proven to be quite handy, i love how much they can move.

Also, i have decided to throw the falcon out and put my dragons in a wave serpent. So far, the performance was nice.

Thirdly; i have thought about switching my Lords with Prisms, and squeezing in another squad of fire dragons. Also, if i did that, would rangers be a good idea?

    Any comments shall be appreciated!!

I just played 2 games with my Mech army yesterday, one against new nids. Rangers did very well mostly because both games where the 2-objective scenerio and I used the Pathfinders as a hard point to my otherwise fast army. The fact that they were static counted for less because the obective ensured the enemy's movement's direction. Pathfinders have done either ok or incredibly in all the games I've used them so I say go for it.

Your right about the Scorpions, they are kind of slow and fit in poorly. I still love these guys because they dish out a lot of hurt and are fast enough to take a charge and still win sometimes. I also had both a Spiders squad and a Scorpions squad in my list yesterday and I would say that the Scorpions still held their own. Its nice to have something to throw into the mix when things get sour. I think that if you can use them as bait or as the finishing punch in a 2-3 unit combo then they are much better then a second unit of Spiders. The rest of your ideas are solid.
