Necron Lord- D. Body, Phase body, Warscythe, Phylactery 185
4x 10 Warriors - 180/squad
3 devs 150
8 Scarabs 96
Basically that's all i have right now. ive read up alot on Heavy Destroyers haha, and i know alot of people dont like them but i do (when i played orks alot of people didnt like tank bustas and i still used them to some really fun effect =) ) anyways heres what im thinkin i will do. (for a 1500 point list) i was going to incorporate Immortals, A Monolith, flayed ones, and tomb spiders.......... and of course H.D's so if someone could give me some ideas on how this could be possible, let me know please =)
something i was also thinking of is getting another lord with the VoD and having him Teleport around with the immortals causing all sorts of grief. The Destroyers focusing on taking down the medium armored- heavy armored troops, the Flayed ones popping up from the side to cause all sorts of problems for them, Monolith doing what they do best a.) soak up the shots and b.) dish it back out. Lord with D. Body zooming up with Scarabs and attacking mean groups of big boyz (possibly equip distruption fields on the Scarabs) and warriors blast away the other stuff. and of course tomb spider to fix up the knocked over guys and maybe a HD or 2 to just pop armor 2 or big scarey tanks. (or possibly we'll just forget the HDs, DARN IT WHEN IS THE NEW CODEX GUNNA BE HERE!)

A problem I always have with Necrons, and one that you should really not let yourself fall into, is trying to field to many units.
Necron specialists (destroyers, heavy destroyers, wraiths, flayed ones) are best when you have a second unit of the same type. So say instead of fielding 5 destroyers, you field 2 squads of 3 destroyers. This formation allows you more flexibility, as well as more survivability. Your enemy can only target one squad at a time, and necrons are tough, meaning they have to focus a good bit of damage into a squad to drop it, only to have your second squad absorb the losses right after.
For your expanded list, I wouldn't advise taking too many warriors, three squads should serve just fine. It may differ from player to player, but I for one always find that having more that two squads at 1k, or three squads around 1.5-1.8k is too many.
As for Tomb Spyders and flayed ones, both are close combat elements, but one is far stronger than the other. I would say to try out both and se which you prefer. Spyders are a solid stand-by in my lists. However Flayed Ones are an enjoyable unit to use, if you can pull them off correctly, just a bit more difficult.
The lord and scarabs should work well together. You really seem to be cranking out the assault elements for this list. Assault armies are a bit uncommon to see Necrons running.
Drop a warrior squad, 3 is all you need really for a 1000-1500pt game.
If you're taking destroyers, take heaps more. As Alzer suggested, take on a second squad. Having two squads in immensely better and more survivable than a single unit.
No support for your warriors? Yes, tomb spyders help but its not they're not that helpful in providing WBB support since you're more likely to want to pack the warriors into a phalanx. And while they can provide CC support, they can be overwhelmed rather easily by sheer numbers of assaulties. A monolith or a Resorb lord is important in supporting a phalanx. Since this is your first list, I seriously recommend a Resorb lord to go with the warriors, at least until you're confident enough to go without one (which requires some smart play).

Necrons W3-D1-L1 (latest codex)
Skaven still being assembled
If you want a devastating 1k list.

Thanks guys for the Replys. haha yea as for the assualting feel, ive been a player for the orks, and ive been trying to wrap my brain around newer and more difficult concepts. (i played a very shooty ork list, using their weakness as my strength, thus well rounding myself) i realize for the necrons such a task is more unrealistic due to many reason.
i do plan on keeping a Lord in the back with the Troops, and have one charge forward to cause all sorts of hell either through a. D Lord or b. VoD
ok, 2 or 3 troops of warriors. i have 4 Destroyers now. so i will have 2 squads of 2 for the moment. (im get the battle force 3 destroyers, and a D Lord, and green stuffed a new torso and made my D Lord into wraith Lord.)
so what im lookin at right now is
Lord-Res Orb., D Body, Wraith.
3 squads of 10 Warriors
2 squads of Destroyers
not sure how many points that is, im too lazy to look at my codex.
There is another way: You can field Necrons with CC power and thus end up well rounded. Field lots of Flayed Ones in Elite slot, pure Wraiths in Fast Attack and Tomb Spyders in Heavies. You should still have 2 to 3 warrior squads and lord with resorb to back 'em up. They can still hold ground and shoot the crap out of stuff while your Wraiths and Spyders rip everything up and Flayed Ones deep strike into enemy rear.
