Okay, so despite all the negative comments towards lictors, mawlocs and even in some occasions genestealer, iv decided to go ahead and build a list to work off the strengths and weaknesses of these units to hopefully make people reconsider using them.
I realize that competitively this list probably wont be to effective but if your like me and most of the games you play are fun and not objective based then I believe this could work out.
My list is as follows.
-2 sets scything talons
-2 sets scything talons 510
2 Lictor 390
Everything in reserve.
Turn two deepstrike as much onto the board as possible draw lots of attention to the hive tyrants get the genestealers into combat via outflank and cause as much havoc with the mawlocs as possible. Keep the lictors as far enough from the enemy as possible while still keeping them within synapes range.
Turn three Burrow the mawlocs get everything into combat including the lictors, place the lictors in combat with the units you want the mawlocs to hit.
Turn four using the pheromone trail rule from the lictors deepstrike the mawlocs into the middle of the enemy units that are in combat getting the most out of the str 6 blast templates as possible.
following turn four keep the mawlocs on the board and charge them into combat with the rest of your army.
I know that this is a little far fetched but i think you could have alot of fun using the lictors and mawlocs together
