1500 monstrous creature stabby army of death

    HQ
    swarmlord 280pts

    Hive Tyrant 195pts
    Heavy venom cannon

    ELITES
    2 zoanthropes 120pts

    The doom of malan'tai 90pts

    venomthrope 55pts

    Troops
    10 genestealers 140pts

    10 genestealers 140pts

    Heavy support
    Trygon Prime 240pts

    Trygon Prime 240pts

    Total = 1500 pts

Alright, so it's not all monstrous creatures. At some point i may take out elites for more but lets face it, the doom is pretty much doom, and the 5+ cover save for the monstrous creatures will probs be worth it.

I believe that hive tyrants are for assaulting my friend, assaulting with wings.
also, would take out the carnifexes to get some tervigons.
perhaps take out the genestealers? get a few gaunts and maybe a slip in another trygon?
THAT my friend would be MC madness.
    Siggy.

    How about

    HQ
    Hive Tyrant: 170
    Tervigon: 160

    Troops
    10 Termagants: 50
    Tervigon: 160

    Heavy Support
    2 Trygon Primes: 480
    3 Carnifexes: 480

For lots of monster madness but still a ton of synapse.
Or replace the tyrant with the parasite of mortrex. replace the carnis with a mawloc and get 2 harpies. aerial fighter wing. woo

That is no stabby army of death. You need hormies, flyrants, raveners, trygons, vanilla fexes, and tervigons with scything talons. Now that would be a stabby army of death
    WH 40k Armies (W/L/D):
Tyranid: 2250 Points of Awesome (5/4/1)
    Necrons: 1000 Points (4/0/1)

no fexes!!!! I cannot believe how much better trygons are at doing their job, as for shooting, just get some zoanthropes in a pod, for nearly the same amount of points!
If I wanted stabby, well I myself would take about 180 hormogaunts, some shrikes with boneswords(slashy I know but deal with it), maybe some raveners, a flying stabby tyrant and 3 trygons, now that my friend is stabby.
    Siggy.

trygons i havw to agree are much better for points cost and they look damn awesome .
Superior stamina may win battles, but the ability to quickly recover wins wars.

The point of this army is 32 T6 wounds, 4 T4 wounds and 18 T3 wounds on the board and with a decent shooting phase and 5+ cover saves. Havent met a 1500 army able to deal with it yet.

Meh, I prefer Carnifexes to Trygons personally, having 3 seems like a good idea. Trygons are....a bit unwieldy and unreliable for my tastes.
