    1500 Eldar

    Hey all, after any advice that you have.

    Please note that I was trying to not use many vehicles. I'm even thinking about writing the wave serpent out.
    My main opponents are: Space Marines; Chaos Marines; Tau; Tyranids.

    my post got destroyed by me accidently hitting back >< here are notes

    . cc that dont have infiltrate need support (in form of transport or farseer fortune)
    . warp spiders in cc not good idea. take out withdraw and power weapons.
    . HQ whose only job is to make warp spiders good in cc, not good use of points. u have 2 cc already.
    . fire dragons need deticated transport to get close and personal to get the 2d6 extra vehile damage.
    . howling banshee exarch, exciutioner is better
    . you need anti-tank
    . really need anti-tank (str 8 eml/ bright lance).
    . take out swoopers. u have a lot of anti-infantry, and they suck at anti vechile.
    . switch autarch to farseer with doom/fortune to help out a cc grp
    . take out either pathfiners, jetbikes, and scorps or banshees to free up points for anti-tank
    . with your 300-400 now extra points, get some good anti-tank (in forms of a warithlord, 2 fire prisms, upgrading your serpants to have anti-tank, etc.)

    Hey, thanks for the tips

    The thing is, I'm trying to stear clear of tanks (Since I wrote an eldar 1500pt list with 9 tanks, I'm kinda over it)
    Is it possible to run Eldar, with enough anti tank, without vehicles?
    And does anyoe agree with using the hawks as a back up anti tank?

    Hawks have not worked for me, I would most like to hear from people who have used them as anti-tank though. I may be doing something wrong.

    if you want to go for a foot army, and need anti-tank, your best bet is guardians with weapon platforms. 10 guardians with an eml is 100 pts, they are rather spammable, and if u have the full 20 that is some impressive fire power and meat sheildidge. They can also get fusion pistols, even better for anti tank :_)

    Monstorous creatures are also great for ant-tank, so wraithlords and that avatar may be what you want to go for if you do not want tanks.

    A great strat is to have all you guardians near the avatar (within 12") advance and be fearless as long as 1 guardian is within 12". I hear this can work wonders. Having an avatar will draw fire as well from your other cc units, so you may want to think of that.

    Still no range anti-tank. Reapers are awesome at anti-meq, but having 2 they will die fast. Really fast.
    You have only 10 units with a range of over 12', 7 of them are the pathfinders, 1 scatter laser, and two reapers. Still no range anti-vechicle. That is bad. Your oponent will widdle you down while you try to get into 6' of him/her.
    If you are going infantry, go quardian spam with the avatar for fearlessness for all of the units. You cant spam avatars so your worries are mute. So, lets have a go at what you would like.

    Eldrad leads the charge with wraith guard and the 2 guardians, guiding both guardians ans fortuning his wraith squad. Scrops outflank and charge into meelee, and the exarch gets 4 str 10 atks against vechiles on the charge.
