Normally in 1000 pts I would field a list as so:
Lord w/ res orb
However, my local shop has become a bit overcrowded lately and as such, we are limited to 3x4 tables in which Destroyers have no moveability and usually get caught in CC and killed. So I was thinking of running a list as such for these tables:
Lord w/ res orb
World Eaters: W-47 D-10 L-9
Necrons: W-19 D-3 L-2
Protectorate of Menoth: W-36 D-0 L-7
Feel free, however my Monoliths rarely do tons of damager other than scaring people outright. However, my 10 destroyers maul everything with such high volumes of firepower and more range.

In small tables the Destroyers range and speed lose some of their inherent strenght while Monoliths Gauss Arc covers a bigger percentage of the table are, thus making it more powerfull. I'd say go ahead and test it. Tell us how it went, won't you?
Revenant Moon Necrons: (W/L/D) 0/1/0 (6th edition: 13/2/2)(5th edition: 14/6/4)(3rd edition Codex: 16/4/7)
XIX Legion: (W/L/D) 0/0/0 (5th edition: 14/12/2)(5th edition Codex: 4/3/0)
Black Legion: (W/L/D) 1/0/0 (6th edition: 2/3/0)
Something Wicked... Reikwald Beastmen: (W/L/D) 10/4/1
3x4 tables with two monoliths? That'd be pretty brutal (especially for horde armies) when you have two 12" bubbles of gauss flux arc on such a small table.
They'd make a great screen for your warriors.
Just hope that your warriors don't get cleaned up by barrage weapons on first turn!
