So I came up with this list to be kind of a mix of shooty / assaulty with a good amount of troops for objective games, what do you think?

Basically the plan is to get the swarmlord into action as soon as possible... The warriors harass with their guns, while the tervigon spawns babies and advances slowly up, using the the termagants to screen. I like to stick the hive guard somewhere in range that blocks los, then just shoot anything heavy that comes nearby. The zoans hopefully drop in near some armor and take it out, while the stealers outflank and give my opponent something else to worry about while everything else moves up. Also, the mawloc submerges turn 1, comes up turn 2 hopefully hitting something.
In hindsight, maybe the swarmlord is a bit too expensive for 1500 points.
I do agree, the swarm lord is to expensive point wise for this army, you will need to max that zorn squad to 3 and put them in a spore, I would run a hive tyrant something like
Hive Tyrant- 2 x Scything Talons, acid blood, Wings
It is a CC monster, Just walk him up, let him hide behind other models so he gets a 4+ save, and when your in range, fly ahead and rip the opponent to shreds. Last bit of advice, I would find some points to max that hormagaunt squad out to 20, 13 wont do much. And in my honest advice, you NEED toxin sacs on those hormagaunts, I would drop the scything talons and if you REALLY need the points drop leaping, because hormagaunts are really used for tying up your opponents till our bigger guys can get to them, dont expect them to stay alive till the end of the game, so dont put to many points into something that will most likely die.
