All of which bring it evenly up to 1500 pts
-Option 1 adds more Destroyers, which is never a bad thing
-Option 2 adds much needed Heavy support
-Option 3 gives a shielding unit, annoyance/ties up cc units, + Extra T.S
-Option 4 As above, but can inconvenience vehicles with glancing hits
Thoughts on the list, and opinions on which option I should finish off with?
You shouldn't go with option 2. You are getting two shots a turn which will probably miss, not penetrate, or roll low on the pen chat. Also, those H.D.'s will be downed in a second and if both are downed then there is no WBB. I think that option 1 is the best, simply because it gives more destroyers (I love destroyers). I try to field 8-10 destroyers in 1500pt games. I can't say anything about options 3 and 4 because I haven't played with my scarabs yet.
I definitely agree with lawk.
Destroyers are best for everything!!! They can turbo-boost, deny objectives, take out every type of infantry, destroy enemy vehicles and so on!
They SHOULD BE your 1st priority.
HDs die quickly and simply do not worth their points.
Scarabs are good on screening your opponent in order for your destroyers and/or warriors to run away and shoot! They are also good for turbo-boosting and then being charged for CC (WOW! 2+ cover save!) or destroying vehicles with d.fields.
However, never can they be as useful as destroyers and it seems to me that such an army list doesn't belong to them.
