    1000 Point Competitive

Hello All, it been about 4 years since my last game of Warhammer 40000, and my last post on this forum. I would appreciate a little help on getting back into the game.

My local store is about 60 percent Space Marines right now, there is also a Tyranid, Necron, and Tau player there. Think this list would have a chance?

Hmm. How about you drop the holo-fields and spirit stones off the fire prism and drop a squad of rangers. Would allow you to pick up another fireprism and get doom and runes of warding on your farseer.

Doom is just too good not to have.

My two cents is that you need a small combat unit, Banshees preferably and give the Farseer Doom to give them the added advantage. Also, Farseer name, not a Lord of the Rings fan are you?

Ah spotted that did you? I am indeed a fan of the books, and Olorin was one of my favorite names for Gandalf.

What would you suggest axeing for the banshees?

Rangers/pathfinders are immobile and 1 shot = annoying but not effective in 5`th ed environment.

    I suggest dragons/serpents/avengers/serpents/falcon or fireprism/banshees/serpents....in that order

Probably one of the Avenger squads, although you could lose both Pathfinder squads if you wanted. Either way, should net you enough points for some Banshees and maybe a transport for them as well.

Id drop the Rangers. They are an okay addition in bigger points game but eat up a lot of points in the smaller game than they are worth. I like my Rangers but My regualr opponents hate them so always have a drop pod with a flamer or two ready for them so I just dont use them anymore cause they get killed by one flamer T_T

Get an elite squad in there in a waveserpent, either fire dragons or banshees and should you have any spare points get some more heavy support with a decent range. If your low on points walkers can give you some good firepower for a good price.

Definately drop the Rangers and the Holo-Fields and Stones on the Prism, they're not needed. Fire Dragons in a Serpent would be a good place to start spending the extra points
