This is against an Eldar Army
Lord w/ Resurrection Orb
5 Immortals w/Disruption Fields (Lord would join this squad)
Total Points: 1497
Lord w/ Resurrection Orb and Phase Shifter (If not Phase shifter, then 25-30 points of some other wargear)
Total Points: 1503 (friendly game so going over a point or two is fine)
I'm limited by the models I have so these are the two armies I'm thinking of. Differences are the first one gives me 5 Immortals, 7 less Warriors, and no Phase Shifter. Second one obviously gives me 7 more Warriors, no Immortals, and I add a Phase Shifter.
Thanks for the advice!
Let me explain. Firstly, you should always run Warriors in squads of 10 and 10 only. Secondly, you don't need Distruption fields for Immortals. Assuming you have the miniatures mentioned in both lists I'd go with following:
Thats 1455 points. Use the rest of the points to give some additional Wargear to Lord. For example, Phase Shifter and Gaze of Flame would make 45 points for a grand total of exactly 1500 points and add a LOT to Lords and Immortals close-combat capability.
