Welcome to Librarium Online!
Im a new player to warhammer 40k, i have played alot of warhammer.
And im gonna make a Necron Army.
So ive read abit on this wonderful forum and hope that you guys/girls can help me some.
I normally will play against
Blood angel (Who made that army? Bastards)
A friend that got 22k Imperial gaurds.
and so on.
First option for 1k point
2 x 10 warriors
1 tomb spyder
(10 warriors) (5 immorals with lord) (10 warriors)
as main block
and 2 x 3 dest plus spyder to back them up on a flank and pick out the enemy
and the spyder to make sure they cant kill my dest to easy and try to steal the charge from assualt squads.
2 x 10 warriors
2x heavy dest
1 tomb spyder
this will work about the same, warriors and 1 block of immortal as main block.
And 5 immortal, dest and spyder on a flank.
Will try 2x5 immortal to make sure i get wwb.
Hope for some comments.
ive made a new try for a 1000 army.
and 1 monolith
No orb, and there are 15 points left to go with.
This is a gunline with 4 patrols that will push forward.
And have the monolith in the front to keep going forward for that extra WBB
and push out lots of kills (i hope)
Second list has not much at all to kill tanks with. Monolith does not really count. It has other jobs and its weapon is only 1 weapon. You also dont have res orb. I think monolith is fine at 1250+ at least.
“When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a Communist.”
Thnx for you respons. That is very true that i dont have any real weapons against mech/tanks. My friends dont play to much mech.
And the reason why i dont have orb is to get 2 units of immortals for WBB, and i have monolith as a backup for WWB from big guns.
If i dont need it will spam blasts and the little guns at the enemy, and will keep pushing forward with it the whole match. So in round 5 i can teleport any immortal unit still alive up to the enemies objectives and contest.
I'm not a fan of Monoliths until 1250-1500. Either it's untouchable, making it no fun for your opponent, or it gets zapped first/second turn, and you're down one quarter of your army, which you can't afford.
Your first list looks pretty solid to me. Good fire support, a little bit of CC power. Tomb Spyders are a frontline sorta unit, they're short enough to get good cover, and tough enough to soak some missile fire if they need to. Against the armies your facing, it seems like a stronger combat shield may be in order. Some Scarabs or another tomb spyder wouldn't be a bad idea.
EDIT: By the way, please try and use the Edit button instead of double-posting. Cheers.
Thnx for the respons.
yea see your points, in 10 days were going to play a 1k game.
and i wont have everything ready by then but ive put together a new list for that
and have 3 sqauds of scarabs.
A base with with 30-40 shoots.
and 2 squads of the scarabs will have disp. fields
Will be against another necron or BA
Use 1 scarab unit to look down wraits/assaultsqaud.
use other 2 to hunt down Monolith or Vindicator.
Then shoot out other unit of assult/cc necrons.
And keep moving on..
