1500pts, trying out the new codex...

    Lelith Hesperax

    Archon
    - Ghostplate Armour
    - Agoniser
    90

    6 Incubi
    -Klaivex
    -Onslaught
    -Raider
    222

    8 Hekatrix Blood Brides
    -Hydra Gauntlets
    -Shardnet & Impaler
    -Syren
    -Venom Blade
    -Raider
    199

    5 Hellions
    Helliarch
    Phantasm Grenade Launcher
    Venom Blade
    110

    5 Hellions
    Helliarch
    Venom Blade
    110

    10 Kabalite Warriors
    Sybarite
    Raider
    160

    10 Kabalite Warriors
    Sybarite
    Raider
    160

    Ravager

    Ravager

    Cronos Parasite Engine

    1496

I think the idea would be for the hellions to prove as annoyances, trying to mop up small or weakened squads...

Lelith + Hekatrix + Archon + Incubi = Expensive (but hopefully effective) tarpit

Ravagers would tank hunt or big bad enemy hunt

DE Warriors are to objective grab and provide a sort of firebase.

The Cronos...well...hopefully it'll draw some fire - I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to spend the last 80 points on...

    Hi mate,

Not a bad list there, can't think of any unit changes to recommend, the upgrades however could use some changing (maybe a way to use those 80 pts instead of the cronos)

Firstly in my experience flicker fields are worth their weight in gold! i'd try to cram one on vehicle you have, being able to ignore 33% of all damaging hits when not in cover is to good to pass up!

The second hellion squad could really use a phantasm grenade launcher, and both squads could stand to be a little bigger.

The warriors need some bigger guns, a splinter cannon per squad at least.

Either give the archon a shdow field or drop him (i'd drop him myself incubi don't need help vs most opponents) maybe use the points to boost the hellions numbers.

Finally where possible replace venom blades with agonisers (maybe not that important in the bloodbrides as lelith will throw out a bunch of P weapon attacks anyway) certainly on the hellion units if you decide to make them bigger.

Only minor changes really but other than that a good solid list

Cheers, I took your advice on board...and I've had a bit of a tinker with the list so it's (hopefully) efficient and effective!

Much better, maybe a little low on troops (rule of thumb is 1 troop choice per 500 pts) that's reallymy only concern now, DE troops aren't tough and without them you can't claim objectives.

Do you think maybe dropping a squad of Hellions for another DE troop would be a good idea? Use any leftover points to beef up the model count in the remaining Hellion Squad (or Elite Wych Squad, or the Incubi)

That's a good idea, a 3rd warrior squad and maybe add abit to the remaining hellions.

I would downgrade the bloodbrides to regular wyches, there isn't very much to choose between them honestly (assuming this is where Lelith goes), plus you'd save some points (which could be used to further bulk our the hellions) and more importantly gain another troops choice.

Regarding hydra gauntlets, bear in mind that gauntlets are fine against T3, but as soon as you're fighting T4 you're going to want the reliability of razor flails.

    Hmmm

Downgrade the blood brides to wyches

Swap out the Gauntlet for a 2 razor flails and add an extra Hellion upping the squad to 8

    all for 1504pts

    win?
