    2000pts foot Eldar avenger list

    Here’s a footdar avenger list I’ve made based on the “theory” from this post on BoLS
    Do you think it’s too much spam?
    Will it make it in a tourney?
    Would you like to play against this list?

    While the theory is a decent one, you did not achieved something that is missing from the theory. You have to balance firepower and survivability with point levels.

    While your anti-infantry power is great (you have potential to wipe 10-11 enemy squads per game with decent rolls not counting sweeping advances and close combats) your AT firepower is waaaaaay weak in 2000 points. 9 wounds and 3 threat targeted per turn with 2 bs4 shots is extremely weak. Adding to that is only 1 s9 close range shot. Take also into consideration that you will be slower than the medium mech lists and that will allow the enemy to shoot you first so then survivability comes next.

    In terms of survibability you have only 1 fearless squad and a medium of t3 4+sv. Also only 60 models which is again low for 2000 points full foot (marines can put 75 bodies of T4 3+sv ussualy).

    Also i do not understand why catapults on lords.

    This was mainly a test list and I thank you for the critics ^^
    I am far from a good list builder and I thought of trying to build an avenger themed army. Something I might do, going from my idea of a foot army, is to exchange two squads or so for serpents so that I can get some more AT. Perhaps I'll also exchange eldrad for a normal farseer to get some extra points to spend.

    And the lords got catapults just because I couldn't decide on wether i should have flamers or catapults. But it seems like flamers are better? Will take them since it seems like the better choice now.

    The idea is that my observations to help you build a better list, not me to build one for you. You can make a decent avenger list but you have to think about what i observed and to mitigate those problems.

    Flamers are ussualy used because a MC use the BL/EML not the catapults. And flamers are ussualy good for providing a lots of wounds before assaulting. One catapult is used in conjunction with a wraithsword and i do not think of any motive to use 2 catapults.

    I would do it as follows.

    HQ:
    - Avatar
    - Eldrad
    (avatar gives you more stuff to kill tanks and will take some fire off of your wraithlords, while providing a fearless bubble.)

    Elites:
    - 8-10 Harlequins: shadowseer and some pistols if you got the points.
    (these are a better counter attack unit, throw 2 fusion pistols or some kisses on them if you want/can.)

    Troops:
    - 10x Avengers: Exarch, dual catapults, bladestorm
    - 10x Avengers: Exarch, dual catapults, bladestorm
    - 10x Avengers: Exarch, dual catapults, bladestorm
    - 10x Avengers: Exarch, dual catapults, bladestorm
    - 10x Avengers: Exarch, dual catapults, bladestorm
    (saves points and the avatar and harlies should be able to pick up the CC.)

    Heavy:
    - Wraithlord: EML, BL, 2 Flamers
    - Wraithlord: EML, BL, 2 Flamers
    - Wraithlord: EML, BL, 2 Flamers

    Vypers provide cover for walkers, walkers, dragons and harlies provide AT, ap2 and cc screen, eldrad join the pathfinders and keep spamming bad spells, avengers kill infantry. Of course if you lose the walkers you`re dead.
