This an army list from an opponent, I'd appreciate comments and thoughts.
Hive Tyrant - 220
BS&LW, HVC, Hive Commander, Parox & Leech
Deathleaper - 140
3 x Warriors - 115
HVC, 2 x Deathspitter
Genestealer Brood - 315
Broodlord, Implant Attack
15 x Genestealers, Scything Talons
Devilgaunts - 240
24 x Termagants
Trygon Prime - 265
Carnifex - 200
.... its from an opponent? Is he a nid player? This has to be one of the worst lists Ive ever seen! wheres the anti tank?
Starting from the top.... tyrant needs another gun, and shouldnt REALLY have an HVC. Twin devourers much better, and grab a tyrant guard.
The warriors cant take an HVC, its just a regular VC. Not really worth it on the whole.
Genestealers, too big. Cut down to 10 with the BL, and take off the tallons.
Dev guants, im not a huge fan, but cut them down to 20 in a pod and youd do a lot better.
Trygon, doesnt need to be a prime, or regen.
Carnifex simply has to go, the points are needed elsewhere.
With the points saved, hive guard MUST be a prioritory. 2 broods of 3, asap.
20 toxin sac hormaguants would be very helpful, and it might be an idea to ditch the devils for another brood of hormaguants.
Its not great, but its better than it was.
Your friendly neighbourhood gargantuan creature
I played against him with my own 'nid army which had Hive Guard and Zoanthropes doubled up, they were the stand out units, but some iffy dice and poor tactical decisions led me astray. (that and the fact that he nearly cried when he was taking off all those Devilgaunts after a single bout of combat against my 'stealers, so I started to go a bit easier on him.)
