Not a big fan of extra cc on talos or nightshield/flickerfields they were points fillers, I suppose more wyches would work better but I am out of new ones and the old ones are my wracks for now.
If you take away those upgrades you don't really like, you could add a 5 Wrack squad with LG to have some more scoring units, if 4 isn't enough for you.
But to me those upgrades are not so wrong, giving your raiders more of a chance to survive longer is no luxury because they will be the only targets for possibly two turns. And making the Taloi more effective in CC isn't a bad plan either.
It does feel a little like a gamble with only one WWP and a low Ld on that unit but with scenery to hide behind this just might work.
Personally I don't want to hope for good reserve rolls so I haven't tried WWP, so I can't really help more...
Very terrain dependent fortunately we actually have decent and Los blocking terrain at my store. Worth a look though my only loss has been when raider blew up 1st turn and web way didn't get up far enough.
