Your main problem is a lack of anti tank. Seconly, youve got a cripling lack of effective models.

Those termaguants are useless with a capital U. They wont kill anything, at all. Axe them. Your hormaguants also want toxin sacs.

The gargoyles want both sets of upgrades, considering its so damn cheep.

I think you got the points for a biovore wrong too. Id check that.

Carnifexs are okay, but thats not a huge way off a trygon, which is a whole lot better.

The main problem however, is that you have no way of popping tanks in any kind of meaningful way. You MUST have this to create a succesful nid list.

If you lose both sets of termaguants, you can get yourself 2 broods of 20 toxin sac hormaguants. Loseing the carnifexs for a trygon and 2 Hive guard would be a much better option. Grabbing 2 TL devourers and OA on the tyrant will benefit you a lot. If points are tight, lose the biovore.

I was reading thought what you said and remade the list from scratch. I have been reading though the tactics all week so how about this for a change.

    HQ:

Hive Tyrant with Heavy Venom Cannon (195 )

    Troops
    Hormagaunts x20 (Toxic Sacs + Adrenal Glands) (200 )
    Hormagaunts x20 (Toxic Sacs + Adrenal Glands) (200 )

    Fast
    Gargoyles x20 (Toxic Sacs + Adrenal Glands) (160 )

    Heavy
    Trygon Prime (240 )

What do you think it's 995 points? It seems sorely lacking in number of models though

    Much better

One or two small issues. You've still got next to no anti tank. Also with regards to MC's, never take one ranged gun and 1 cc weapon. Specialise, always. I also cant advise taking HVC's on a tyrant. Its a total waste of points and potential.

If you lose the HVC, and the adrenal glands on the guants (they dont need them to be honest) youve got enough for 2 hive guard. Id then try and find 30 points for 2 TL devourers. Thats 4 gargoyles, which you can get away with losing.

That would give you a much better rounded list. Just be aware of synapse.

Well let me try a little more Anti-Tank since I have enough anti-unit

    HQ:

Hive Tyrant with Scything Talons 170 (Went pure CC)

    Troop:

Hormagaunt Brood x20 with Toxic Sacs 160 (Dropped Adrenal Glands)
Hormagaunt Brood x20 with Toxic Sacs 160 (Dropped Adrenal Glands)

    Elite:
    Zoanthrope 60 (Needed more Synapse)

    Fast:

20x Gargoyles with Toxic Sacs 140

    Heavy:

    Carnifex 160 (Heavy anti-tank)
    Trygon with Toxic Sacs 210

(Thinking of switching out the Trygon for 3x Lictors for anti-tank/troop)

    Total 1000

So I added more anti-tank and a few more tough bugs

Whatever you do, DONT lose the trygon for lictors. They arnt as good at anti infantry, and dont do anti tank either.

However when i say anti tank, i fear you missed the point somewhat. You need RANGED anti tank. You cannot use CC units as anti tank. You wont catch them, and it can be very hard to hit them.

However all you need to do from here, lose the carnifex, get 2 hive guard and a second thrope.

Also NEVER take toxin sacs on anything S6+, it makes you less likey to wound T4. Dont do it.

Thank you for all of the help. If I can find the points for 3 hive guard should I go with that? I looked them up and them seem pretty sick!

Hive guard are, in my personal opinion, the best anti transport unit in the codex and are up there with the best in the game. Pretty much their only downside is the shortish range on their weaponry. However trasnports will be coming to you, so thats not so much of a factor. In small games like this, I think Hive guard are an amazing choice

As such, hell yeah. Either 3 hive guard, or 2 guard and another thrope will do you very nicley

Alright, after everything I reread the book and this is what I am thinking. PS You rock thanks for the help. I ended up removing the Tyrgon and Carnifex as they were to much of a point sync. I added the Zoanthrope and the Hive guard brood to help with the tank poping. I know I preobally messed this up but what do you think now? It's a far change from my initial list. Again Thanks!

Looks good to me I think losing a biovore to grab yourself 2 TL devourers on the tyrant with OA would be a good move. Otherwise you could combine the zoanthropes to reduce KP's... im not really sure what to do with them to be honest. Try them. If you find they die too easy, get them a spore pod and put the two together.

    Good luck!
