Hey everyone been looking to make a decent competitive list which looks a lot like this:
Shas'el PR, MP, TA, HWMT 97pts
XV8 team leader PR, MP, MT, BK 196pts
2x XV8 PR, MP, MT
XV8 PR, FB, MT 62pts
10 Kroot 70pts
6 Firewarriors 145pts
Hammerhead RG, BC, MT, DP 165pts
XV88 team leader TL-RG, SMS, TA, HWTL, HWDC, Shield Drone 185pts
XV88 TL-RG, SMS, TA
XV88 TL-RG, SMS, TA 80pts
TOTAL POINTS: 1000
Well it's mostly pretty standard, minimised troops is a slight concern but generally they do very little and will only be required to sit back in the fish to keep an objective. Kroot can infiltrate onto other objectives or be kept in reserve for outflanking. The 3 broadsides can shoot at different targets at BS 4 which should leave the hammerhead free to template infantry. All the battlesuits are kitted out with plasma rifles to deal with MEq's.
Thoughts and criticism welcome. Thanks for any input.

This list looks pretty competitive already! I would personally say have 1 team of fireknives and 1 team of helios. That way you get the best of both worlds and either team will be a force to be reckoned with. You might want to consider ditching the normal fireknife team and and having a fireknife hq instead. Trust me when I say it will hit soo much harder If you use a normal elite slot for a helios team you won't lose as many points if it's destroyed because lets face it you need to be really good at estimating ranges to use these properly. It will take time but when you master them they will be a feared unit. You might want to try a 2 man deathrain unit as well. Troops are fine, remember keep the firewarriors and possibly kroot in reserve. Outflanking and last minute objective grabs FTW You already have plenty of railguns for 1000pts so may I suggest taking an ionhead instead of the railhead. They are a really good choice it's just the railgun is so awsome Don't forget it will free up a few points as well!
Thanks for the advice it all sounds pretty good to me, I switched out the 3 man fireknife squad for a second fireknife shas'el with TA and opted for the 2 man helios elite team. I have also dropped the shield drone from the broadside Team leader because they are pretty tough any way and I could always shield them with the hammerhead for a cover save. With the points I save I've put in a Deathrain monat with a flamer for transport popping and templating if hordes close in. I have decided to leave the railgun on the hammerhead as horde killing is a weak point in this list and that pie plate will come in real handy. Plus if for some reason I do need extra AT it's there as a safety net.
Thanks again for the help.
