There is a tournament at my local game store to win a ticket for a GT called Mechanicon. They are doing an 1850pt list. I have been testing this list out and have won all 3 games with it.
265pts -Hive Tyrant w/ 2x TL Devourer, Proxyism, Leach Essence
+Tyrand Guard w/ Lash Whip
105pts -Prime w/ Deathspitter, 2x Boneswords, Toxin Sacs
150pts -3x Hive Guard
120pts -2x Zoanthropes
145pts -Doom of Malan'tai
+Mycetic Spore w/ Barbed Strangler
155pts -3x Warriors w/ Deathspitters, 2x Boneswords, Toxin Sacs, Barbed Strangler
150pts -5x Genestealers w/ Toxin Sacs
+ Brood Lord w/ Scything Talons and Toxin Sacs
50pts -10x Termagant
185pts -Tervigon w/ Catalyst, Stinger Salvo, and Toxin Sacs
170pts -17x Hormagaunts w/ Toxin Sacs and Adrenal Glands
265pts -Tyrannofex w/ Rupture Cannon, Cluster Spines, Dissector Larvae
The one thing I have been debating is ditching the tyrant to get a trygon prime. This would allow me to drop the gants by taking the tervigon as hq and free up some more points. To do that though I feel like I would really need to take a venomthrope to get him some type of cover. He usually eats a turn of heavy weapons and drops since no terrain around me will cover 50%. This would mean dropping the Doom though and he has been a very strong performer. The Biovores are also separated into two separate squads in case I horribly miss with one I will still have another shot with the other. Suggestions welcome!

It's alright. That Genestealer Brood I think you could probably ditch, it won't have enough attacks to get to kill the units it kills best as well as a unit of 10+ so I would ditch it. With those extra points I'd buy another Tyrant Guard (don't ditch it for a Trygon, they just work so well) and either fill out the Warrior Brood or add another Biovore to each squad.
Just my little contribution.
Ill do a test on tues without the stealers. I know the brood is very small, but it has hit those targets that would otherwise be unreachable in my last few games (whirlwinds, basilisks, lootas, etc) due to outflank. I definitely will be keeping the tyrant. He draws fire, but those 12x TL S6 shots are just killer. Thanks for the advice.
So I recently found out that there will be at least one player that is bringing grey knights to the tournament. Ive played and beat him when he plays guard and marines, but he is definitely dangerous with grey knights. I was thinking about making a few changes to the list, so here we go:
345-Swarmlord & Tyrant Guard with Lash Whip
105-Prime w/ Boneswords, Deathspitter, & Toxin Sacs
130- Doom with Spore
185- Tervigon w/ Singer Salvo, Catalyst, & Toxin Sacs
150- 15x Hormaguants w/ Adrenal Glands, & Toxin Sac
150- 5x Genestealers w/ Toxin Sacs, Broodlord with Scything Talons & Toxin Sacs
155- 3x Warriors w/ Death Spitters, Barbed Strangler, 2x Boneswords, and Toxin Sacs
265- Trannofex w/ Rupture Cannon, Stinger Salvo, Dissector Larvae
Basically I swapped the Tyrant for the SL to try and get a bit of an edge for when he throws paladins or whatever other nonsense in my face. His CC effectiveness is more than equal to the 2 hormaguants I lose, but my fear is losing those 12 tl shots from the tyrant and the large blast from the biovore. Does this look like a more effective option?
